Let me debunk this. In platinum lobbies you have platinum teammates and verse platinum enemies, overall a balanced experience. However diamond is different. Diamond lobbies functionally don’t exist, there’s not enough diamonds most of the time so the diamond lobbies are merged with master and pred lobbies. This happens late at night when in diamond 4, however 100% of the time once you hit diamond 3. So if you have diamond level teammates versing master and predator level lobbies that is no longer a 1:1 skill gap like plat v plat is. It is diamond v (slurry of) diamond master and pred. So the skill ratio (rank wise) can be often 1:2 or even 1:3. Conclusion, plat teammate perform better because they’re in an environment they can perform better than diamond teammates can because they’re not versing a relatively equal foe but frequently one that is better, which in relative terms makes them seem worse but in terms of pure skill, they’re better, that’s why they’re in diamond.

I guess it depends on region, my lobbies this split whilst ive been diamond 4/diamond 3 usually have a range of plat 1 to diamond 2 and I still have plat 1 players pushing fearlessly in these same lobbies, but that's just from my observation, maybe different for different regions/times of day

I think people misinterpret skill for consistency, ranked does not show your skill at the game but your consistency at it, sure I could beat the top #1 player in the world, 1 time out of 1000 but he’d beat me 999 times, for 1 game I might ‘out skill’ him but he’s consistently going to be better than me the majority of the time, the current ranked system shows this, most plat players die again and again, but then win 1 game and it’s enough to put them into plat 3, and continue, but diamond players are simply just a little bit more consistent with their gameplay that gameplay just isn’t their peak gameplay, it’s not always going to be 9 kill games getting top 3, but they are just more consistent than plat players, (and if I get 9 kills and die with 15 teams remaining I go negative)

As a diamond player I genuinely hate playing in plat, because people are absolutely braindead but they already know how to abuse AA. for me ranked ends in diamond. if i'm really, really enjoying a season and like the ranked then i'll prob grind to diamond - but past that it's just not worth it as a solo-q. the 3-stack masters, cheaters, god awful teammates it'd probably take 1000 games to get from d3 to masters. climbing diamond is just too difficult if you don't have a 3-stack and aren't a 0.01% player with godly aim.

Plat players put 100-80 damage sure they don’t run but they don’t do anything in fights. Whenever they do more than that damage is when they are in a bot lobby full of actual plat bots

@@jordanalexander1592 He had the Deathbox open. He just needed to move the mouse up like 2cm on the screen (probably a few milimeters on his mousepad) and click the left mouse button. Then he would've atleast had a few bats but he didn't... this costs him 0.1s to do so its no big deal. 0.2s if he picks up the rest of the healing items and he would've had no problem with heals for the rest of the game.

Im in masters so i play mostly other masters or preds. Though i get a lot of really good diamond teammates, they still claim to struggle to get out of diamond. most get to diamond 3 and then are just hard stuck. Im a solo player and yes i use my mic.

This season, I felt like my Gold players were better (on average) than my Plat players. The reason for this it seemed, was that there were a lot of people who'd normally be in Diamond or Plat, but didn't have the time to make it. Therefore, you'd have very experienced players still slowly going through Gold and so forth later into the split. I wonder if by contrast, there are more Diamond players who simply no longer have the time to make it - and are therefore populating Plat more?

Actually it’s plat 3-4 players that drop hot and instantly rush every fight they see with zero game plan or skill. They know how to shoot a gun yet can’t down another moron if their life depended on it. Plat 2 and above is where actual skilled players are. The most populated rank is plat 4, which means the average player is hard stuck there. If you can’t 1v3 a plat 4 squad, you aren’t good - most in Diamond can do it with ease

Just gonna say this now. I hard capped at plat 1 on controller from release all the way to season 16. In season 16 i switched to MnK and hit masters within a couple days. Unironically, MnK movement is cheating, just like high end controller aim can feel like cheating within the range of aim assist. MnK has only recently (Within the last few years) started to be considered the worse input for aiming. In truth, aiming with your entire arm allows for a greater mastery along side the higher/smoother sensitivity. Complaining about controllers in my opinion is completely idiotic considering the strengths of good movement. Tap strafing will always have more value.

Oh god please dont tell me that, i was really hoping to get better teammates if i ever get out of plat, lol. I get knocked down to gold sometimes and im literally squad wiping teams. Go back up to plat and its, i need to work on my engagement and stop putting myself in situations where my teammates had to make the same decisions i did. And hit more of my shots, lol. Though as a vantage main, i like distance between me and the enemy atleast at the start of the engagement. But a lot of people want to get up close and comfy first. maybe its cause its easier to aim up close, maybe cause its more "action" up close, idk?

Xbox and Playstation are in the same lobbies. If you're on Xbox it shows an Xbox logo next to your teammates that are also on Xbox or a controller next to their name if they are on Playstation. It does the opposite if you're on PS. I mostly play on Xbox in PC lobbies because my friends are all on PC. Console lobbies are much easier than PC ones tho IMO

I kill a team early and then try to survive until last fights and try to top 1, but it's the soloQ experience, you can't run trough all teams with poeple that almost goes solo or in bad situations and insult you.
