I think bringing doc into the mix of videos is top tier! can’t wait to see more on how he sets his bags up and what he carriers for raids and everything in between

One recommendation on those tourniquets - consider T3 gear tourniquet pouches. More secure than rubber bands, and the tourniquets will be protected from the elements.

A doc that carries a pelvic binder is a sign of a good doc. Far too many just say they’ll drop the patient’s belts. We all know half of these marine’s belts won’t fit as a binder and that belts in that situation are just a half measure. I would recommend to that doc to take a look at the Edgar Sherman Design SAP pouch, one of my favorite dump pouches on the market. Seems like a very practical setup.

Dropping the belt was taught before pelvic binders, medicine evolves and a good doc will evolve with it.

Always carry at least one externally on my mystery ranch bag. I packaged them in ghetto WALK kits I Made for each truck in my platoon.

Depends on my mission set if I carry one. You can do the same with TQ’s and Sam Splints if need be. Sometimes it’s easier to carry the device meant for the job. Sometimes you need to carry what works.

I'm in the same boat but I'm also a paramedic in real life and I do want to have medical available for larger events. People always twisting their ankles and dislocating their shoulders.

@@FlankerJackChannel so real. Also, best wishes with your paramedic career. I just became an EMT-B last year! I figure, take my job skills on the fun day airsoft field.

@@nekokyun Good for you pal it's the beginning of a fun journey. I started as an EMT a few years ago making a big career change. Paramedic you just got to have more fun. As far as airsoft goes, having a few basic first aid items is always good but definitely pack sports injury type kit. Sam splints, Ace bandages, gauze and triangular bandages. Last milsim event I went on the first hour a guy's broke his ankle going over some rocks and it took a few minutes to get him evacuated. Reach out if you have any questions or help

Looking forward to a detailed breakdown of what he takes in his medbag. I was an 8404 corpsman back in the day for one enlistment. I’d like to see someone who is more experienced and how to set up there med bag and if they need a separate assault pack as well.

I've got a friend who's going through the PJ pipeline right now and we chat about his kit all the time. There is a huge focus on airway and he has a giant pouch dedicated to NPAs, OPAs, crich kits and needle decompression.

Can we possibly get a written list of the pouches and possible where to find them. Headed back Green Side and want to be better prepared this time. Would also love a medbag breakdown in the future. Lots of breakdowns for SAR and LE but have found very few Mil specific layouts.

Very interesting. What are his thoughts on putting TQ's into dedicated pouches on the plate carrier? Obviously he carries his open, which i also did for years. But recently i've been wondering if i'm really helping my case if i drag these things through the mud and then may have to apply them near an open wound. But then again i'm not a medic, so i would like to hear his opinion. Thanks.

Civilian side SWAT medic here. Casualty is going to get loaded with broad spectrum antibiotics at the definitive care location and the tourniquet is going to be placed high on the limb during care under fire or atleast 3 inches above the wound any way. The bigger concern losing equipment to snagging or degradation of materials under repeated UV exposure over long periods of time. As long as equipment is rotated out appropriately there isn’t really a problem. I personally have 4 tourniquets on my kit. 2 in jtactical pouches up front on the plate carrier, one exposed on my belt in front of my holster and one on top of my belt mounted ifak. My opinion, worth what you paid 👊🏻

The issue with mud isn't so much with infection, but with the functionality of the tourniquet itself. As mentioned previously, the casualty will be given antibiotics at higher levels of care, but the tourniquet could be ruined by the elements. Especially CAT tourniquets, which rely on the velcro to secure it in place. Mud and other debris can weaken the strength of the velcro and make it difficult to secure

I appreciate the breakdown and information, I would like to see more. Does he carry his equipment this way instead of a backpack or in addition too?
