If playing medic, bring 5-6 mags(M4) and no belt, I know what your thinking”well what if I need my pistol” it’s a ton of weight. My belt had my 1911, 3 mags total, my IFAK, my dump pouch. It weighs a ton! I ended up taking it off becuause of how much weight it was

quick tip for water: 2 liters of water for every 8 hours of play is a decent general rule. this should leave you some extra unless you're in desert heat. Its what I carry for canyoneering in the Mojave and Zion area where it can easily be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, carrying 60+ lbs of gear. Carry more if you're in those areas or in similar conditions, as a single broken water bottle or just being a bit more tired than usual can be the difference between heatstroke or a fun (albeit hot) day, speaking from experience. 4 liters should generally get you through the day, but having an extra 2 per day is nice, and safe, and it really isnt as heavy as it seems. Your life isnt worth carrying less. Of course if its a colder weekend, you can carry less, but id never go less than 4 liters just to stay on the safe side. edit: as for food, take 1.5 times your daily intake per day. if you eat 2000 calories a day, take 3000, and make sure its mostly protein based (protein bars, beef jerky, cheese packs/sticks, nuts, etc.) also bring a morale food like gummy bears or something to snack on occasionally. these are general guidelines and may not work for you, but should generally provide a significant safety margin in case of some sort of serious emergency. a milsim event is much safer than backcountry hiking, but if you follow these guidelines, should you somehow get lost and not be able to be found, one days worth of supplies could keep you running in an emergency scenario for about a half day, or more.

MREs are great! You can eat them without cooking them. That’s how we always did it. No time to lean it on a rock or something.

Thank you for reviewing this. I am starting up with MilSims (and airsoft in general) and my loadout for a plate carrier is something I am still planning. This helped quite a bit. :)
@TheGreatHotDogConsumer4 жыл бұрын
cool to hear you’re getting in to it! just know that what you like might change. i went from wanting bulky USMC style vests with 5 double mag pouches to running a JPC style PC with 5 single mag pouches, a pistol mag pouch for a knife, and two more single mag pouches on my belt plus a dump pouch. another thing, don’t do what i did and spend a 💩 ton of money on one thing and end up not liking it. build your setup from the ground up to really get exactly what you want. another thing i recommend is getting plates. whether it be mock foam plates, training plates, or even real plates. they help keep the form of the vest and add just a little more protection from plastic destruction, although real steel plates might be a little overkill. awesome, but a little overkill. and be careful, because once you start customizing your PC (plate carrier), you’ll never want to stop. as of right now, i’ve spent more money customizing my carrier than i spent on my krytac (don’t tell my mom). as for chest rigs, i sadly cannot give you any advice on that. but anyways, good luck, and i hope you have a lotta fun playing. it’s a great sport.

Pretty much mine is the same. OPS Easy Plate Carrier with a Spiritus Mk3, Emerson Dangler, Emerson MBITRs, and two LBX Admin pouches on the cummerbund. All gear is in Multicam Black. Everything else goes in my LBX One Day bag or Minimalist Gear Pack.

I have a Z-shot JPC 2.0 and I'm interested in those clips you have to attach your front panel, how did you attach those? :)
@TheBBWarrior3 жыл бұрын
Underneath those specific Molle rows on the plate bag there are small loops these clips mount into. It can be a pain to remove them so I just keep the clips in place even if I use a JPC panel.

If you don't want to spend much money, I'm Condor makes one. A little nicer option would be from TYR
@aahhronismyname80684 жыл бұрын
This option isnt rip away. I use it for my real PC. Well i had a double m4 pouch lying around. All i did was buy tac tailor insert for 16 bucks on sale. For medic supplies. I keep couple gauzes (individ. Wrapped.), rat tourniquet, nitrile gloves, and some duct tape and , medi tape. Love it. Infact, i made my own version after for another PC . All i did was buy some nylon threading and a cheap g36 mag pouch from 5.11 on their closeout section for 9 dollars?? I forget anyways i already had bungee cord, and 1 inch nylon webbing. I have a NAR cat on my belt. I like the rats in there cause its smaller and its meant for others. It can be used on animals and children where as im 5 feet 9 inches, 170 lbs. And the nar cat fits all my limbs. Of course im talkin bout real steal. Airsoft wise, itll work just as good. The tac tailor insert is removable and it keeps it organized.
