Behind the wheel of a maroon 1991 Ford Taurus, bearing the license plate DTC-675, Mark's journey took an unforeseen turn. The car, like its owner, remains lost to time. Jared is the best to be doing these searches and recoveries. I have followed him since he was having fun pulling cars out to save the environment. People that haven't watched his lost soul's recovery videos need to go back and watch ALL of them. Those video stand alone in showing me what type of empathy Jared has with the families. I'll never forget the lady that wanted her husband out of the water after Jared found him. The team were going to wait until the next day to recover because it was getting dark. She broke down and begged Jared to get him out of the water. Jared shut the door to the cameras. He went back and got the family member out of the water in the dark for her. Jared is a hero, and nobody will change my mind ever.

A few facts about Minnesota is that we may be a northern state but we have several time have been more hot and humid then that Amazon jungle and can get to -50f in the winter. Then one winter in a 24 time span it jumped almost 60 degrees

There are so many lakes in Minneapolis off of Lake Street, I wonder why they only searched Powderhorn? They completely skipped the Chain of Lakes, which is what the street is named after. That's Harriet, Calhoun/Bde, Lake of the Isles, and Cedar. Nokomis and Ericcson are both nearby as well, and all seven lakes are within a 3 mile diameter, and 2 miles from the Mississippi. The last Minnesota video they checked a dozen lakes, so it's odd to me why they skipped so many this time? Thanks for the video all the same, wish I found this channel sooner. Could have paid a visit. Was nice to see you in the neighborhood, and to know the MPD divers are thorough. I agree on the bridge collapse correlation. I drove by it about an hour after it happened, never forget it.

A temperature below zero F in Minneapolis is BELOW normal. The coldest average low in Minneapolis is about 3-4 F above zero in mid Jan. Temps 15 to 20 below zero is well below the coldest average low for Minneapolis but does happen now and then. Southern Minnesota is closer to the equator than to the North Pole - not SO far north like many think. Europe for example is much further north. Minnesota is in middle of Continent- so cold winters and hot summers - with heat indexes sometimes exceeding 110-120 F in July.

Im from Iowa and I had a cousin fall through the ice on a snowmobile and after it went through it froze back over and they couldn't find him. There was a big snowstorm so his family called the seach off. They found him in the spring.

Seems like Doug should have checked with the MPD before diving on the river, the cops already knew about it. I like the Jared led investigations better, he's more thorough, shows more of the sonar images. It's great all these people are out looking for the missing, don't get me wrong. The Mississippi River in Minneapolis is never drivable like lakes. I have lived my entire life here… even north in St. Cloud is dangerous because of moving water. I adore you guys. But understand rivers in the Midwest. Unless a stream. Rivers never should be driven on in even the coldest weather. Moving water and depth is never safe.
