Hi. Most plumbers jump to either a plate heat exchanger, diverter valve, or a thermistor, l hope I've spelt that right, we had hot then lukewarm water and boiler shutting down, it turned out to be a faulty cartridge in a bar mixer shower, isolate mixer taps taps and showers one set at a time and see if you get hot water again, when you do you will have found your pasding cartridge, worth a thought.

why are you giving technical advice in a public forum? Surely it should be in a Gas/GSR forum! Hope you have professional indemnity cover. Mores the point teaching the public how to mess with their boilers, which I find leads to all sorts of trouble!

Gregory Davison I don’t I agree with you . Problems who is creating them ??? . I am the public I had engineers servicing my boiler and I never saw one taking out and cleaning the heat exchanger. Now I know what a supposed professional engineer has to do . Very often are rude and do not explain the things they are supposed to do as they don’t do it ... they always advise you to get a new boiler, this is 100 % dishonesty . They just want more money from you. My boiler has been working well and I had a few engineers telling to get a new one . Except the last one I had who told me my boiler was in very good state. X finger still working well. Best regards María
