I think it is called the maze challenge. Can't find the mega counter maze of Monica's but it was at mega tower defense lvls. That honestly looks like a hedge maze but with counters.

Well I'm bored so here's an idea for a tower defense, battle royale, cooking game :D In the beginning of the match a timer will tick down. When that timer reaches 0, you immediately are eliminated. Food monsters (or monsters that drop food) will attack your restaurant constantly, the only thing stopping it is in the safety of your restaurant. Defeat monsters to gain ingredients and cook for your fellow humans in the shelter underneath your restaurant. Every time you send a complete meal, your timer increases slightly as it decreases all the other timers of your competitors. Use power-ups or tricks to increase your production or to distract other players. Essentially just Tetris 99, Overcooked, and Atomicrops :p

Firstly.. nice to see that [Plate up]'s back on the menu.. love watching the vids but... Sigh...Sometimes Aenne, the agent of chaos really gets me fustrated by picking the most ridiculous/inefficient of things and insisting on her methods of madness.😫 In this case: The burger maze will not work... the mechanic doesn't work that way. Customers will trigger the "waiting at the door" mechanic even whilst walking in from off screen. However the "thinking of what to order" phase will only occur when the customer is sitting at/close to the table. The maze will only serve to pile up customers outside whilst delaying the turnover of customers as they have to walk a long way to the table.. also there will be a huge loss of $ when building a maze ... Ps: I get that this was sort of a throwaway game based on the ridiculous map choice but I rather not see a run end due to something nonsensical but rather make the best out of a bad situation and it end due to bad RNG/mapping or just simply being overwhelmed. I'm all for trying out new wacky ideas but not so for things that would obviously add to your detriment.

Hi there Nicolas. We've played a lot of this game, and sometimes it's not always about having a perfect game. I like to have fun with the game, and that's what I was doing. At the end of the day, I would like to be enjoying what I'm playing, rather than not be enjoying myself. I hope you can understand that if, and you still feel frustrated, maybe this isn't the content for you. There are lots of other series and streamers playing this game that might be more for what you're looking for. :) (Aenne)

For a layout like this, I think some sort of upgraded version of the dumbwaiters would be nice. I wonder why they haven't upgraded that seeing as how it's one of the least useful pieces P.S. I haven't actually played. I just watch these playthroughs, so for all I know, they've already buffed the dumbwaiters ages ago 😅

I enjoy when games present a challenge. I do not, however, think that it is good game design when the "challenge" stems from intentionally creating something really bad (i.e. a crappy kitchen map layout). That is a cop out to attempting to create actual interesting challenges. This is why Diner Bros is significantly better, the challenge in Diner Bros is to continually improve and create better processes while the "challenge" in PlateUp! stems from the game putting the player in increasingly worse positions. This goes back to the philosophy of how to be the best: does a person try to become better or try to make others worse. In the case of PlateUp! the answer is to make the situation worse rather than challenge the player to get better. Disappointing.

Curious, does the kitchen have to be in the designated kitchen area on the map or could you also put it in one of the other rooms that the customers aren't in?

Absolutely you can put the kitchen items in other rooms. I don't play the game, but I think the hob does have a debuff for customers. You can also put tables in the kitchen. Check out Price's single player runs on his channel. One of his runs was kitchen in dining area and another where he put his seats and tables in the kitchen.
