When I issue a punch , one hand goes forward with a fist and the other one pulls back with force. Is there any example of how to have forward momentum with footwork and backward intention with another part of the body?

Joaquin Alonso you are talking punching and pull back. that’s an indication of you are at the strength element. Read my book basic wck art and science to know clearly on the 6133 or different basic elements. You also need to know what is a short strike momentum as presented in my book WC matrix. As for the example, one need to learn from the wck ancestor according to their standard from basic; it is an education; One simply can’t get there with whatever one does or think today. Ie: one can’t know what is return intention after a life time of learn and think everything in wck is forward intention but don’t know what is a momentum. It is like boxer cant understand group fighting; unless boxer go and study it.

@@Ordinary-Hendrik Well, I watched your video on how footwork must move like a sickle. I am not sure what you mean by moving forward but also have backward intention. Is there is any movement in any sport that I could look to understand this concept? I am very interested in the 1850's wing chun and would like to learn as much as I can about how the original art moved. I have seen some Shaolin Duan da videos on youtube but I'm not sure I'm watching the right ones.

Joaquin Alonso you need to get a coach the teach you. It is not to mimic a move. It is not about a move. There are many things under the move. The closest is to read my books to get the basic before anything. One can’t just watch video and learn. Are you a wcner or study other art?

Tommy Li you are completely off. Returning momentum got nothing to do with internal power. And as I stated above. ‘Mike in the 10seconds of the following clip shows returning momentum.
