The example could be better designed. However, you were able to explain quite well and make the axample run just fine. If you allow me to give you advice on future tutorials: - Use Lightning Experience; - Try not to simulate point-and-click user actions with code (That can be confusing. Speciacially for beginners);

You can get the profile using below soql SELECT ProfileId FROM User WHERE Alias = 'autoproc'

The example you used don't make sense to use Platform events, you can achieve this trigger or any other automation process. But the purpose of Platform event completely missed it with wrong example.
