27:14 Allow me to pin a correction pointed out by a commenter: you are NOT able to "revive Hiita" from your GY with Selene's effect. Since Selene's effect is to special summon a Spellcaster monster from your GY in defense-position, and Link Monsters are unable to be in defense-position, Hiita is not a valid target. Hiita is played as a way to utilize the opponent's GY with Ash Blossom or other FIRE monsters. She can be used to link summon Selene since she is a Spellcaster, but if you intend to go to Accesscode Talker with Selene since she is a link-3 monster, you still need another monster on board or to be able to summon Veiler from grave. She can also be used to special summon a link FIRE monster for Ningirsu or go into Accesscode Talker if you special summon a link-2 FIRE monster. She is fairly situational, and not at all essential to the package.

Also, if it’s an Ash that you revived with the hita, you can still go into halq to get the veiler if you didn’t already have veiler in grave- then still go into Selene -> revive veiler -> accesscode

I found a weirdly specific OTK that involves your opponent having a Monster in extra monster zone, and you having Roze, Hornet, either any tuner or one Summoner's monk (I use it as a cheap way to get into Selene -> Accesscode because I don't have 3x blossom yet) in hand. The combo goes - Hornet - Kagari recyles Hornet - Hornet - SS Roze from hand - Normal summon the tuner/summoner's monk: + Use Kagari + Tuner for Halqi, then Selene then Accesscode + Kagari + Summoner's monk + any monster from its effect for Selene, then Accessode - Roze + token for Zeke - Banish opponent's monster in the Extra zone - SS Roze - Clear the field with Accesscode then direct attack and profit.

​@@Rednu imo she's pretty much made to work alongside Zeke which is pretty cool because Zeke is the only armor that doesn't look like Raye, so I've always assumed it's Roze's armor. They are pretty situational requiring your opponent to be already using the extra zone, but can be used to pull some crazy shits.

Yeah, Zeke feels like Roze's armor. Common anime tropes have the protag rival being a little more edgy. I like to imagine Zeke as Roze's last resort weapon that requires her to fuse or consume something else in order to attain.

Your guide made me really motivated and encouraged to make this deck! It's such a fun and flexible deck! As I played the deck more and more, the more cards I found I could use in this deck, like "Kaiser Colosseum", "The Dark Door" and "Moon Mirror Shield" if paired with "Sky Striker Mecharmory - Hercules Base". I made 3 decks of this archetype to explore different gameplays. This deck reached me up to Platinum. What's funny is that I reached it hours before the Ranks reset. I never regretted using lots of my UR and SR crafting points for making it. Too bad a friend of mine didn't like this deck since its not a combo deck (high ATK monster deck). God I love your initial description of the archetype. I used to be a big sky striker (Simp) player back when the deck was in its first wave, that was when I was going trough a pure stage so I couldn't really bring the archetype to its fullest back then. Now im picking it up in MD after so much time and im surprised by how much they have evolved since then, im definitely enjoying figuring out the combos and I can say that this deck is easy to use but tricky to master, especially in the enviroment of the game wich makes challenge all the more exciting

I know you've mentioned it later on in the vid, which prompted me to deleting my first comment but when you spoke specifically about both Afterburner and Jamming, I think it would've hit harder to newer players to the deck regarding the non targeting effects it has with the second part of each cards effects! That's pretty much my only critique, but I think this guide was WELL needed and this one to me stood out far more consumable, well paced and nicely done with the visuals. I would even dare to say that this was better than what Dkayed might've done in his version. My favorite part of the video was the very last segment in which you've stated which cards to go for first with crafting and their prioritizing the staples in recommended order. I wish I had this type of guide from the get go. I'll look forward to more deck techs from you much later if you are game for that challenge. Big ups for the efforts.

28:48 I'm kind of interested on the 2nd Turn Kill part. Can you please explain more? Tbh, this is my first time *really* getting into Yu-Gi-Oh. Well, not really the first, I've played Duel Links a few years ago. But it's already been soo long that I just kinda forgot what decks I used.

Sure. If we chose to ignore the backrow, which we could probably do against Monarch AI (though I wouldn't suggest in a game vs competent players since their backrow is usually a little more threatening), we could have link summoned Hayate, activate Roze's special effect to special summon herself from hand, then normal Ash Blossom. We can make Crystron Halqifibrax with Hayate + Ash, this will let us special summon Effect Veiler from the deck, and from there it's the Accesscode Talker combo that is covered in the next section. With Roze (1500) and Accesscode Talker (5300), we will be able to deal the necessary 6500 damage to win the game. I chose not to do this play to demonstrate a conventional turn play. I usually will not go into Accesscode Talker vs 3 set spell/traps because I run the risk of losing that combo line to something like Solemn Judgment, or monster effect negation.

You can certainly do that. It only takes one backrow card to interrupt your combo though. Since I have a lot of ways to put cards in my hand, I would rather do that and exhaust his resources than go for a play that can potentially be interrupted. If I get interrupted at any point during the Accesscode Talker combo, my Normal Summon is taken up and I potentially lose access to Accesscode Talker. I believe I'll achieve the same result in a slightly safer way by just having way more cards than them.

while the mistakes were made yesterday before I stumble upon this video, I manage to cut my losses and build a F2P sky strikers. thank you for helping me stop doing the mistake. I also want to know if you have any plan to make a 'case-by-case' video regarding the situation of duel. for example, what starting hands that considered "ideal, so-so, at disadvantage, or bricked so you better surrender and find other matches". another example would a commentary video which you explain misplays and what should you do instead or how to fix the manage said misplays and/or a situation where you explain how to get out of 'disadvantageous situation' or how to 'press the advantageos position to win more' in any case, thanks for the video. really helpful (coming from me who is blind to TCG-kind games) and definitely waiting for next videos.

It sure is, but a lot of the decks I fought against in platinum were not using the extra monster zone. These include Drytron, Eldlich, Virtual World, etc, making the card a little situational. I also do not want to possibly give Drytron a free Eva or Eldlich a free Eldlich in grave.

need to mention the multirole/shizuku eff manipulation, where you can activate multirole after you did all, add a quick spell (like widow, shark, eagle) with shizuku, activate it, set it back with multirole. it's a good strategy if you feel like your board is weak and you need some disruption for opponents turn... it compensates if you dont open with engage

At the time of recording, there were only specific ways to do it. I'm not sure about now, but I'm pretty sure Multirole is automatically prompted by the game to activate before Shizuku's effect. This is only if you activated Sky Striker spell cards in phases not the end phase, but that does cover a majority of your times using it. Again, not sure if they changed it, I also was unaware of that interaction when I was playing, but it is a great tip to keep in mind for sure, especially if it works as intended.

@@Rednu it's exactly as you say, thats why you make sure you dont activate any sky striker spell after you activate multirole to make sure that the only spell you activated since then is the one you search with shizuku. so the best strategy is to use all the sky striker spells BEFORE putting multirole on field. basically the game always activates multirole first, but if you cant activate it you can resolve shizuku first, so always in your EP you activate the spell, and now multirole will activate because it meets the requirements

Yes, but that is only if you don't want to re-set those cards you used. Once it gets past one card, it is usually better to just use and re-set card(s) rather than just blank-firing and setting the one card you searched with Shizuku. A lot of times we search Engage with Shizuku as well. That play has uses particularly when you are setting up on first turn and/or are in need of a reactive play when the turn passes, but I can rarely imagine a situation where I'd forego using and re-setting one card just to blank-fire and set the card I search with Shizuku. It'd be nice if it just worked the way it is intended to, so that I wouldn't have to make that choice.

@@Rednu i do it everytime i need to end turn and i dont have any negates for next turn, otherwise as you say an engage is more convenient most of the times :) , lets say you are ending a turn and you have just shizuku on field and no protection on field or hand traps, thats when you want to do the combo to make sure you survive the next turn. i hope konami will fix the EP activation resolution thing because it kinda nerfs the deck

If you want to build this deck on a new account, craft 1 sr from the pack & pull the cards from the secret packs not a main pack, it's a waste of gems going in to a main pack as you only really need 3 UR/5 SR cards from the secret pack & you can pretty much craft ash/max each x3 from the craft points you get from the missions

I probably wouldn't! Lol but serious answer is there would be a lot more things to consider and unfortunately I dropped TCG at MR4 and haven't really looked back. The meta is different with I think more card sets and a pretty diff banlist. For one I know you could only play one Engage and honestly that doesn't sound very fun just from first impression. sky strikers player here, amazing guide! my personal deck is mainly sky stikers but it also utilizes monarchs and fortune lady earth for some powerful tribute summons if the sky strikers engine fails, also threw in fortress warrior for easy tribute fodder i dont have to worry about keeping in check

If you want to play an alternative to Pot of Avarice there is card called Link Bound in one of the structure decks that returns 1 link monster to the extra deck and draws cards equal to its link rating, but you have to place cards equal to the number you drew on the bottom of the deck. Its not as good as Avarice, but is much easier to use and can be used turn 1, which is a problem you stated in the video. Hope this helps :)

Base is actually great if you're paying a pure sky strikers deck using Zeke as your damage with Kaiser colosseum to lock down their board If you have a bad hand you can always use base to basically lockdown his boss monster and force them to waste a removal to get rid of it and give you advantage by cycling your links back to the EX deck Basically if you can't get your anchor, you can summon any of the 1 links(shizuku) then equip their boss with base then past your turn They are then force to choose either to get rid off the base which replenish your EX then attacking forcing Raye back activating colosseum again, attack your link and Reye giving you 2 cards to deactivate colosseum to do their combo in their 2nd main, or just pass the turn

@@Rednu i haven't got my kaiser colosseum deck build yet but i still run 2 in deck just to specifically counter eldlich and gainnme a few turns to find answers, so far at a minimum it can grant about 2 turns for me to survive before the 2nd lich comes out

A basic, yet rather important interaction to add: Neither Area Zero nor Hercules Base have to be face-up when destroyed to get the GY effects. This makes Jamming Waves a lot stronger as monster removal since you can pop a set Area Zero or Hercules Base to get the GY effect AND the non-targeting removal from Jamming Waves. It also opens up the amount of ways you can get those effects beyond Area Zero (for Hercules Base specifically), Multirole, Twin Twisters, MST, etc.

Another thing to remember is that Jamming Waves checks the GY after the Spell/Trap has been destroyed. So, if you use Jamming Waves to pop your own set Spell while having two Spells in the GY, you'll get the Monster pop too. I honestly use it more than Afterburners because of how much more versatile it can be. EDIT: This, of course, applies to all the Sky Striker Spells so it's often worth chaining a Quick-Play to ensure the secondary effect. Just don't overdo it, otherwise you'll use up all your good interaction too quickly.

You are brave for running triple desires, I keep trying it but It almost always backfires and I banish all my good cards, so I then have to hold it until I get said cards in rotation, but by then the card becomes pretty much dead. Don't know how I'm so unlucky 😂

Most times I won't banish everything I need and the two cards are more helpful. But there are a lot of games where we are able to and should take cards out of the deck and put them in GY or hand before desires, and that is usually what helps. For instance if I search one engage with Shizuku, I'd feel generally good about using pot after.

Damn handtraps are super meta. Everytime i go second opponent just combos for ages. Need to up my ashes and maxx c to 3 i think.

Yep, you need some disruption since you're at least going to go second 50% of the time. Other hand traps to consider include Infinite Impermanence, Nibiru, Ghost Ogre, and Ghost Belle. I switch between these depending on who I face more often in plat.

sky strikers is like going shopping, you play cards and choose whatever you want to get, then you throw it in your shopping cart/graveyard then buy it with kagari, most of the time tho the shop lets you get the thing for free tho which is just adding it to your hand i can imagine raye in a store just buying stuff

Started Master Duel 5 days ago, built a Sky Stirker deck, climbed to Plat 5. Now everything is terrible, so I came to this vid seeking guidance. I think I bricked 3 games in a row, and game 4 somebody whipped out a True King to banish my Kagari and Accesscode from the Extra Deck Turn 1.

Good question. I generally think it's in most players interests to buy packs that have good cards for multiple top tier decks. The secret pack is good, but I didn't think to cover how to unlock it nor did I think too hard about how it was better for someone who has their heart set on Sky Strikers. It is only really beneficial if that is the case, if you are looking for good cards for multiple archetypes and also cards that can be used by multiple, Stalwart Force is better. I don't know if there exists a secret pack that has a lot of staples either, but I think it's fair that I didn't necessarily do research on all secret pack contents since it's not the main subject of the video and I was able to make the deck without that knowledge.
