Cracking up watching you try to figure out the yarder. It’s a pully with a base and an anchor tree, attach yarder to an anchor, cut other trees between tractor and anchor, attach cut trees to the carriage, drage them up to the tractor.

That yarder tower has to be connected to a standing tree and than the thing moving on the line u got to connect to a tree that u saw down in order to yard it in. So basically the yarder needs 2 solid points 1 the tower it self 2 a standing tree and than all logs in between the tower and tree it is connected with can be yarded with that moving winch

You answered my question without even knowing it haha. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to attach a mulcher to the volvo grapple hook thingamajig. I didnt even notice the option to get one with a quick attachment head. hahah thanks!

Thanks for the breakdown. When I first heard about this pack I was pretty annoyed because I don't really do forestry, but the more I see the more I'm willing to try. This map looks amazing. Normally in real life you attach the winch to a tree and then use the other attachment to move trees up and down a hill or whatever while using the attached tree to create a path. Blessings

the dedicated towing/manipulator tractors seem useless at first, being obsoleted by just hitching a winch to any other, far cheaper tractor, but late game the two rear winch points are a game changer, 8x 12m logs without a sweat, untill some modder gives us a standalone twin-winch blade, its the best you can get

I got the THX - 180 stump grinder but I can't figure out it I need to have a particular tractor to mount it to. I can't get it to attach to anything.

Info missing? What is the capacities of the rail car to take logs? Yarder working, the first wire is the support wire for the yarder carriage. Must be high up anchor tree and near or over the logs to be cut or already cut. Drive out yarder carriage from yarder and attach log(s). Move carriage and logs to log pile, trailer, container or chipper. Disconnect logs and repeat. Usually used up hill (winch higher or on flat but can be used downhill but this is dangerous as the load can over run the power of the winch when trying to stop. One of the tree harvesters has tracks with only cross tracks. Unstable on cross slopes, can slide sideways. Wide tyres are good, with chains even better.

I paid for the upgrade but I do not think I will be using it. I have a strong dislike to trees. Love farming though. I am really disappointed with this upgrade. However, great video. Thanks.
