The offroad stat is actually just a decimal value between 0 and 1 that the speed is multiplied by when going offroad (for example a value of 0.5 would divide speed by half), so if you set a value above 1 the kart would probably go faster offroad than normally.

It would be a cool idea to have Troy and NMeade separately work with atlas to create their own versions of the "perfect" vehicle with stats from 0 to perfect stats. That was they can lower things like handling and then race them during the flounderfest or something

The karts’ sway has helped me a lot playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, especially on 200cc Piranha Plant Slide, where it helps me avoid the off-road on the final turn.

Compared to the previous videos, Platinum vehicles just seem ordinary. We've seen it all before, so the novelty has worn out. Still fun to watch, though, and I bet they're fun to use.

Gotta give props to the player trying to win on the Jetsetter/Aero Glider: it obviously didn't work out very well for them, but it was a valiant attempt. And yeah, I almost feel sorry for Troy in this video. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong, though at least it made for a more interesting video.

I personally would suggest moving the platinum bikes to less popular vehicles that are still inside drift (Example: Platinum Dasher(Dolphin Dasher)) so that when people are on the normal version of the popular bikes, the platinum texture won't show

I think that mini beast became a mega beast! But after playing Mario kart wii for years , then going to Mario kart 8 and watching a wii video , I noticed that the blue shells and red shells are way more fun on the Wii, because you can reliably dodge if you are skilled. In Mario kart 8, those reds are like laser guided bombs.

Hey Troy, i'm not sure if this is a me problem, but i don't think it is. But sometimes in the video there are lags spikes (5:49 there is one) and it also happens in the other videos. Could it be something with the final rendering of you videos? Because your webcam lags too.

I think it's because he grabs the VODs from twitch and the lag spikes are on twitch's end. I've seen him mention in a comment on another video that he'd like to record and upload local recordings to avoid this.
