Play ANY Tube AMP Silently For Free

So I was considering dropping $500 on a two notes torpedo captor X cab sim and loadbox to be able to play and record my AMPs at home, but then I realised I can do the same thing through my PC for FREE.
Its extremely simple, not sure why I hadn't thought about this before...

Man, I do the same. It's nice to record at home but not even close to the real sound with a reactive box. Using just the preamp is the same of recording from a pedal, you lose all the presence, depht, tone and punch from the poweramp, that's your amp signature. I'm using a Ignite power amp simulator (free vst) before the IR. It gives more depht to the sound but it's temporary.. I know how my Marshall sounds with a Torpedo and it's not even close. Really nice video for those who already can record something but didn't know.

Great tip...so the amp head/combo obviously has to have an FX loop. BRILLIANT 👍🏾

I wish I knew this before I bought my Torpedo! (well it does allow me to play quieter) but this is genius!

@@BedroomGuitarHero If We had line out on an amp then great but noise could also be a problem. Not to mention your not driving the output tubes which is the magic.
