I got this figure at Megacon last summer. Kevin Conroy himself signed the box, and I even asked the man for a hug. I hugged Batman. Easily the best day of my life.

Lazy day, binge-watching PlayArts reviews... I remember not picking this one up after watching your review and I still stand by that decision. The Asylum version (which funny enough is still posed proudly on my shelf) is much better than this one. Looking at it all these years later, the paint job on the costume with the black shading, looks like he had been lit on fire or something. Hilarious. I'll have fun rewatching some of these today. PlayArts was always hit and miss but I rather enjoyed what they did with the DC license. Miss seeing them in shops too. Great reviews Anthony!

Just got this figure and it is nice but I have a few problems if someone can give me some pointers, the butterfly joint on his right arm won't come out and his left shoulder almost won't move up at all, I put it in the freezer to try to crack the paint but it seems like it still won't move, not to sure what to do I just don't wanna break him

The Arkham City Batman is probably the best interpretation of the animated series Batman in a dark way. The figure in my opinion captured the likeliness of the Arkham Batman fairly well.

Only thing I dislike about this figure is the cape. It’s so heavy my Batman has trouble standing up. So happy to have him nonetheless.

I got this figure a week ago and i was not able to move his right arm when a tried to pose him he broke i replaced him, and as soon as i took the new one out both the head and the arm fell of the head had the peg into it and the peg was removed from the neck, so i had to replace him and the new is perfectly fine.

Yeah and I agree with you, I like the costume that comes close to the TAS most too. But the more a figure costs the more I demand of it and this is just a major downer for me. I might eventually still end up buying this one, but for now I feel like other things are worth it more (upcoming DBZ figuarts for example, and still gotta get Cell). Now if PAK did an AC Batman TAS skin, THAT would be an instant pick up for me. My god that would be so awesome.

man they took the cape articulation thats reallly bad news. i guess the value of the first batman will rise. i still like this batman and i like how they took the gap out of the adomen. did u liie the new harley and poison ivy ?

hey anthony, do any of the limbs pop out? because i have 4 play arts kai figures and all of them have limbs that have popped out, i love these figures except for the stupid limbs popping out.

I love this batman figure and I prefer this color scheme over black and Grey and though it doesn't have the articulated cape at least you don't have to worry about the cape breaking though some don't break I'm really careful but this batman is FAR SUPERIOR

Whenever you have a Figure that has minor flaws like the ones you mention on this one (Color of Elbow Joints, Shading on Lower Side of Abs, etc) do you ever correct them on the ones you plan to Keep?

I know it just came the thought when a.c bat realesed the armored bat from a.a With the realese of a.o bat a thought came that we might get more a.c but theres already 4 series of a.c so theres no nessessery of a 5th series just focus on a.o

Literally just canceled this because the the cape isn't posable. Deal braker for me. I'm gonna search for the asylum one. (Too bad that one is a little bit smaller, I hope it won't go out of scale with upcoming AC releases.)

This is an OK figure , it didnt WOW me like when i bought the first one , i had expectations that this would be the same or better . The paint apps look cheap and sloppy compared to the first one, the cape has too much blue and the gloves are the wrong colour . I have gripes that i was forced to pay 85.00 for a figure that really is just a 50.00 figure at most . I have decided that I am going to customise mine and repaint it . Other issue is the dark gray ball joints on both arms it doesnt fit
