I was updating my collection of figures and came across Locke for 90 on eBay. I was criticizing his small chest design too as well as not having a second peg for the weapons. Yea definitely not worth 150, but, it’s still a great design.

And I love the scaling on these guys. It's how I feel it should be given that Locke is a Spartan IV. In game it looks the same because they were too lazy to make any of the spartan models vary in size.

$150 oh my god. As a figure it's a decent figure really looking forward to getting mine. It should be around 80-100 because 150 is unacceptable

Something that really bothers me is the two tiny little dots on the front of the visor. Why are those there? Are they to let air escape or something? Other than that and the typical PAK wonky proportions, I really like this figure

I don't like halo 5, but I do like lock's design, and it made me even more sad when I watched halo nightfall, and discovered that I liked lock, he wasn't a amazing character, but he was likeable.

Locke can be a better character, but 343 just made him a little dull. They attempted this in the last mission where tried to make it look like he saved chief, but it's nowhere near sacrificing yourself, or blowing up a covenant ship with their own bomb.

It's a bummer that the quality of play arts is tanking :( and that although this figure as you said is good- however it's too expensive for the amount of errors it has. Any ways thanks for the great review! Keep up the good work:)

I don't think the quality is tanking that much, it's just that the higher price point simply seems to only emphasise the problems the figures have. At the previous price point, it would have been acceptable, but at 150 dollars it just isn't good enough

+mojotheaverage yeah, I agree with you on that, however I was comparing these figures to the halo 4 ones that were not only at a lower price point but in my opinion fantastic figures- for example the blue Spartan warrior the paint and proportions (other than the shoulders) were on the spot- but yes I understand what your point is and I do agree that it's really the price that's throwing the figures off

I really like your reviews primarily because you tend to speak openly about all the flaws and don't stray from criticism where it's needed. I really don't understand why people keep supporting companeis like this or Hot Toys. They are lowering the quality in many aspects and constantly raising the price, and yet most of the custoemrs seem to be ok. Hot Toys has taken it to a ridiculous level, where things can fall apart right out of the box, where the paint fades with time, electronics fail way faster than they should, etc. And yet its one of th emost popular brands among collectors. I don't really get it why people don't vote with their wallets.

honestly, i dont think hot toys are one of the most popular. they are one of the most publicized so there is an inaccurate perception of their popularity. also, people love to talk about them because they are expensive.

If you watch the end of halo 5 locke is shorter than master chief the figures are accurate.

Looks like Locke AND the Chief are trending around $80 on Amazon. Sounds like getting both for roughly the price of one (according to MSRP) would be worth it. Great reviews as always, revisiting these now that I see the prices so much lower on the two of them.
