As I'm 50 years old almost now I look back at these days and I miss them terribly... The world was a lot simpler back then...even though we have been faced with too many challenges I can go back and watch these things and reminisce of the good times!! Love you guys!!!

The late 1970's and 1980's/early 1990's was the best decades/eras ever! The music, the fashion, the movies, the cultural diversity and the human condition was awesome and amazing! I miss the world and society before the dehumanizing of the internet, Instagram/Facebook/Twitter generation! Respect to the real hip hop pioneers and break dancers! I remember every friday/Saturday night there was a show called "Hot Tracks" with this host named "Carlos", that featured the best break dancers from all 5 boroughs in NYC, and the newest, hip hop, freestyle, pop, music videos! I miss "Video Music Box" ch. 31 with Ralph McDaniels! "Soul Train" on "Channel 11"! When "MTV" was actually: "Music Television" Best of times! Salute!

We use to take cardboard boxes from behind the grocery store at the bus stop and battle way back in the day. We didn't have big ghetto blasters going to school, but we pirated music from the radio and played it on a little cassette player and did what we could. Lots of poppin and lockin, and I remember to this day when my friend Mike pulled off a windmill and he was our king for the year.

Lavie Est Belle Man, you're glorifying that era. Although I agree it was fun, that fun was just a testament to the human spirit, the ability to overcome bad situations. Our government ignored these communities, which created poverty, joblessness and violence. The creativity that came out of the desire to escape those conditions is what spawned this.
