Keep in mind this doesn't work well for local multiplayer. It disconnects to frequently. Twilight menu, R4, or just the real cartridge games will work. I have four 3ds and we had to resort to Twilight menu for more power and stability on local multiplayer

It's weird, I've mentioned your video on other KZbinr's videos who are still mentioning twilight menu. I figured it will help the 3ds homebrew community if more ppl new and they completely ignore my comment. I shout you out and tell them that this way is better and easier and that it's a good quality of life improvement. It's so weird, they have to keep their KZbin videos relevant at all cost, even if it's something new and good involved. I guess they feel like I'm taking away from their channel but this helps everyone.

i appreciate you sharing it! i know sharing links usually gets comments blocked in comment sections, but i think people prefer twilight because you can use cheats and get the widescreen patch. But they don't even usually tell viewers there's an easier option if they just want to play the game

Great tutorial, but one thing to note that I ran into for others to consider. I hit a ceiling of 50 installs for the DS games. Once I tried anything beyond 50, I got an error that said something to the tune of "No more DSiWare can be installed 50" So there is a limit to the number of DS games you can install - and it had nothing to do with my SD card, because all of my DS games fit on my MicroSD card just fine, but it just won't allow more than 50 installs.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my new 3ds xl. When I enter to the twilight menu++ or install a ds game via NDS forwarder (this error happening after I try to open the game I installed) I am getting a fat init error, my sd card is 64gb I dont know the format of the card because I bought the console just today. I can download and play 3ds games, gba(mgba) and snes(snes9x) games without any issue. Can someone pls help me?

I think if you go to SD Card Management App it’ll show all your software and you can delete it from there, if not maybe check the activity log?

oh man, it didnt work for me. what can i do? when i became in the Universal Updater step, it dont works. When i enter the app, has a messege wanting the wifi connection. then, i just tap A, and do what the friend said in the video: first the search icon, tap "nds", and then click the information icon. but, when i am in the place of the information icon, dont appear nothing! :( dont have the options of the video

You shouldn't run the nds forwarder games without having twilight menu installed Because the ds games run through nds boot strap and you won't be able to change any settings for that program without twilight if the games have any issues running. Not all games run perfectly with boot strap out of the Box.

by having the twilight menu installed and using the method in the video, is the only difference that the game icon is on the 3DS homescreen instead of in twilight app? also i just checked system settings and it says the game i got (Dogz) is on the system memory instead of the SD card. does that mean i should use the twilight method instead to save storage?

​@@trinhplaythings the thing that gets saved on your system memory is just the forwarder, it still directs to the rom. The forwarder does take up space but it's practically nothing. The real issue you could have is running into the 300 title limit for the home menu. Each forwarder icon will count towards that limit.

Thanks, good video. I'm already setup with Twilight and honestly it's working well for me as I really have no room for more desktop icons. I also Open AGB for my GBA games but could not get the Open AGB launcher to work from the 3DS menu so have to launch that from start/boot screen.

you could use ultimate vc injector, this generates cia files from gb, gbc, gba, snes etc, and you can then install them directly to your 3ds menu. This i think, is the best method, because the 3ds can natively run gba games

If you mean delete the DS game to free the block on your 3DS home screen, then System Settings -> Data Management -> DSi Ware.

What I was hoping I could achieve with this was to play DS games from sd card natively on the 3ds but that doesn't seem to be the case here. twilight menu doesn't really play at full compatibility cause there's some problems with games like trying to use features where you can connect to the Wii and other things. guess I'll just have to get an R4 card if I want full compatibility with DS games.

So I deleted more than 1 game to have more storage but it still says I have to much. Can you help me with that? How can I fix that?
