I just looked this up. My dad was a big fan of the boss and we even saw him and the e-street band as a family once. I lost my dad recently and I wanna play some songs for him.

The modulation to a C minor key during the bridge, is there a particular music theory that governs it? Or it was simply Bruce’s own invention ? Meaning that he just happens to find this new progression sounds good and lead back to G

Is it just me or in the chords/ melody arrangement part the C and Am sound different than in the intro? I can see he's pinching the first 2 strings but i'm unable to figure it out how to do it myself. Been trying to do just that as i love the way it sounds, but mine sounds like the intro haha, can someone explain ?

Hello Andy As always, another excellent lesson. I never thought of playing the melody line so many thanks for that tip. The problem I have playing this song is when Bruce strings out the singing of the "h-h-hungry heart" part on the final line of the chorus. Is that still only 1 measure of the G7 chord? Or is more than 1 measure? Thanks if you can clarify.

Does pressing guitar lightly still makes the sound of the chord we are playing or do we need to press hard?
@HeyMyNameIsLukas3 жыл бұрын
Depends, play around with how much you need to press it. If you do it to lightly you will hear it buzzing that means press a lil harder! :)
