I'd say more LucasArts. Sierra games, at least as I remember, had a habit of including really missable ways to end up rendering the game unwinnable past a certain point, like necessary items that could only be picked up on a single screen much earlier in the game. Also, puzzles would sometimes be so illogical and counter-intuitive (even for point-and-click game logic) that you'd never work them out (and sometimes there were even phone numbers you could call to pay for hints!) LucasArts games like Monkey Island and Grim Fandango were hilarious, creative, but also had very few ways to trap yourself and break the game, and the logic while being very backwards at times was reasonable if you had your head in the right place. Okay, reasonable for deranged cartoon logic, I'll concede that.

I was talking about the fact that you could talk to random objects with a funny remark from the character as well as remarks about puzzle like the drive part.
