Here from Alpha Beta Gamer and the spoopy low-res game he played about pylons. I don't remember safety PSAs this dark, but then again, I watched a lot of Nick Jr. and Sesame Street(1993-2003ish).

Kids, you CAN fly kites into electricity pylons but only if you're wearing rubber gloves and rubber boots. That's basic science.
@KrillLiberator13 жыл бұрын
Few people are aware that this PIF's central premise was tragically undermined three minutes after filming ended when the kid at the end lost control of his plane-on-a-wire and smashed it propeller-first into the face of a passing woman. Screaming, she then stumbled into a road-worker operating a pneumatic drill, causing him to puncture a water main and an electrical cable, just as a Sunday school class walked through the resultant puddle. Death toll = 19. The boy later took his own life.

@@dylaninpieces2 I already do! I fly kites, occasionally, but I'm mildy traumatised and scared when I do so! Now, railway tracks on the other hand, that's a whole different but probably quite healthy phobia...

I had a Peter Powell kite around 1981-82 from a shop in Colwyn Bay whilst on holiday. It was blue and I used to play with it locally. I used it under parental supervision, by the way.

Pilots have to observe safety rules! Really? So being responsible for 400 passengers and 910,000 lbs of fully laden 747, awareness of other aircraft, weather conditions and potential mechanical of electronic faults is the same as a child playing outside. Also I initially thought he said Pirates have to observe safety rules. Too right. If anything, the laws of the sea are at least as rigorous as aviation rules.
