When I was younger (about 7-8), a speech therapist had me make a worry ladder, as a way to rank the things that I was anxious about. She made one as well with her concerns, and we talked about our ladders with each other, then ripped them to pieces.

I do my own version as a way of coping with my anxiety of specific things. I make a paper chain, on the inside of each link is what I'm anxious about, and on the outside is a positive thought about said anxiety.

I just came across this in trying to figure out a way to work with one of my students. This was one of the best techniques I have found so far. It worked wonderfully. Thank you for such a great resource!!!

The video is great. The assessment looks like a non-threatening way to get children to discuss their fears. Thank you for sharing.
