I do this too. I started my player at an 80 overall, set his potential to 99, set peak start to 25 and peak end to 36. He gets better and develops on his own as time goes by.

I think If 2k wants to keep the my career how it is then they need to have an option to play a classic my career experience where you can’t buy vc. And they’ll do it like madden where you can choose if you want to be considered a high draft pick or a low draft pick or undrafted. That will be how the game decides what overall you start with. So for example if you pick you want to be a high draft pick then the game will start you at like 73-75 and if you want to be undrafted the game will start you at like 60-63. From there you just grind a play. That keeps the online geeks happy and they can buy all the VC they want and the guys that just want a fun free experience can do that as well.

MyNBA has been my mode of choice for years..nack when it was called MyGM or franchise / association mode. I personally like to rebuild the team and build a team around a draft pick I get. Online Association mynba is good when you have the right people

i agree and thanks for showing this to us. myleague is much better. 1. you can get the mycareer feel by doing a player lock. 2. its offline so you don't have to worry about servers 3. you can manipulate trades. i like playing with the fictional players 4. in my career when you're winning cpu subs out your co-stars. in myleague you can sub the players you want to play with back on 5. you can get your teammates and other players to rock your created sneakers 6. and most importantly, you don't need vc to enjoy it

2k does make u grind on the side quests and all but if you do that and play on HOF difficulty you can get close to earning 2k a game in vc so what I do is use the first guy I made to grind vc and use that to upgrade anyone else I make after that and you can request a trade if you go to the my career tab and click on your stats or something like that u can find another tab to request a trade and also request players to get on your team maybe not right away but it’s a much more effective way to get your 2nd 3rd or however many players you got up to a decent overall without having to do all the grinding all over

This is how my bro and I played every single 2K except 2K16. The MyPlayer/MyCareer is just too much. Money got more involved and fudged it all up smh. I’m all for kids enjoying the game!!
