Playing her early would also get a crucial thrall online earlier even if she died and since he already had a good wincon in hand and liss banked full spell mana anyway I think it was just a misplay

My only problem with the deck is the , as you said, 'Dead to Elusives' problem. EVERY single deck I've ever crafted has been to counter elusives. I have an unhealthy amount of hatred for elusives

have been playing an elemental eddy deck and by using iascylla you will have a 30|30 caprine every two games and just smash eddy meta decks and when you don't you just win with voli that levels almost every single game

The drop in skill lately is staggering. Cards that free summon allies should not exist . The corner stone of any card game is spending mana on permanent bodies that u can atk or defend with. Nowadays u just have portals and warmother just creating bodies while u just keep clearing stuff. Poor design. Good for braindead plays..I guess that's all that is needed lately.

@@sagittariusa2145 Take any mainstream card game worth it's mettle and you will see allies/permanents/units are a fundamental. An ally is potentially a recurring damage dealer unless dealt with, and to cast said ally mana spending was devised,and cost moderation implemented. In this current scenario, u have spells or abilities that generate said allies or call them out if left unchecked. Sure,warmother spell can be denied or negated,but what of portals? Absolutely no stopping a boon from resolving and u have a unit for free,essentially from playing a unit like tea maker or a focus spell or last breath. That's a body to atk or defend with for free . Warmother left unchecked is a unit for free every round. All the user has to do is then play removals on opponents units and win with a board state. Examples being warmother decks with plenty stall,heal and high value units. Then u have the norra bandle decks with broadmane that does exactly that. I have tried these personally and find it absolutely unfair on the game state. Imo, a solution is to grand any such auto called units have ephemeral so that their on going presence can be kept in check. This will open up more interactive plays on both sides. I'm eager to read ur take on it.

That's my biggest complaint about this game, there are too many cards that just say "I win" on them. Felling helpless and totally overwhelmed should be a rare feeling in a well balanced card game (assuming a like skill matchup). But I'd say most of my games are exactly that. They are me steamrolling or getting rolled hard. Very rare to get a good hard fought match.

For example, what cards say "I win" on them? edit: I'd argue a 10 mana unit should say "I win" on it as long as it has some counterplay. If a 10 mana unit doesn't say "I win" in some shape or form, it is utterly worthless, since 10 unit mana is incredibly expensive.

@@sagittariusa2145 I get ya, but one example I was thinking of is "this unit cannot take damage or die" that's just disgusting and broken. Is there counter play? Sure, there are a couple ways to deal with it, such as a silence. But not every deck has access to silence, and if you have to make sure to build a deck that has access to it to deal with just one card, then what's the point of all the variety when it's all just for show, you run the right region with the right answers, of you can't counter and you just lose.

@@nicodemous52 Honestly that card is one of the weakest and most useless cards in the entire game! You're talking about Unyielding Spirit, right? There are a TON of counters to that card, and it is by _no_ means an "I win" button. I'd argue, it's an "I lose" button! If you're playing aggro, you love when your opponent spends 8 mana protecting a single unit. With that extra tempo you just run them over and kill their nexus. An invincible unit is still just 1 blocker. If you're playing midrange, you can just use Single Combat or Gentlemen's Duel or Bloody Business to kill it _before_ unyielding resolves. Or, you can ignore it and go wide and beat their nexus down with your 8 mana advantage. If you're playing control, you can just kill the unit before Unyielding resolves using any number of kill spells. If you don't have one, you can still recall, stun, frostbite, silence, or transform the unit to stall or remove it. If you can't do ANY of that, you can still play your wincon and hope their 8 mana tempo loss is good enough for you to win. If you're playing a combo deck, you can just ignore their protected unit, maybe stun or stall it a little, then use your combo to win the game. Or you can just play Deny, Rite of Negation, Avenging Vastaya, or Puzzling Signposts to deny their 8 mana spell for 4 or 3 mana. My point is, every single deck in the entire game has a way of dealing with Unyielding, because it's a really really bad card.

Sure, it's a win more card, but it's not just win more, if you are already ahead and play it, I guess you can argue it says "comebacks are now impossible" rather than I win, but that's a difference that lacks distinction. And just to make sure you are clear, you are saying that it's ok for a card like that to exist because you maybe able to deal with it right when it's played? And if you can't, then it's ok there is no counter play because, reasons I guess? If you can deal with in the exact moment then ok, it's not broken. Or, if you already have their nexus low and your board is wide then sure, it does them no good. But outside of that, what can you do once it's on the board? Not much other than silence or Lulu's Whimsy or maybe that seal looking monster. But then we are back to my complaint, unless you are running particular regions, there is nothing you can do at that point. You can't touch that card other than to block it.

Notice that every single region in the entire game has a way of dealing with Unyielding Spirit; those ways are different, sure, but they all can work. If you're ahead or very ahead, them playing unyielding is easily countered with any of the strategies above, or completely ignored. If you're even with your opponent, them playing unyielding is still easily countered with most of the strategies above. It's easy to float 6 mana when your opponent has to float 8. If you're behind your opponent, them playing unyielding can be pretty strong for them, because it might be hard to counter it on the spot. Still, plenty of regions can answer Unyielding for less than 8 mana, so you can be behind and still beat them (vengeance, minimorph, disintegrate + ping, recall). However, compare it to Champion's strength, which costs just 1 more. Isn't that soooooo much stronger against almost every scenario? If you're very behind your opponent, them playing unyielding is just a flex since any other card would've won just the same. So in the vast majority of cases, unyielding is just bad.

I will never understand opponents that proc their own deathless against a deck that runs ruination. I've won so many games against Mordekaiser simply because they made that same mistake. What KILLS me is that they often also play Ruination... so like... y'all should know better?

Do you want to use elder dragon to destroy elder dragon decks? (And most big boys decks) just add all the followers that recall into your deck. The 9 mana that recalls 3 unit won me so many games, i don't understand why i don't see it run more often. Ive been playing this deck since elder dragon released, and while im still not convinced about the early game, i think it has potential. Edit: also remember, mana cheat is broken, so run 3 cloud drakes

That card is so good against slower decks, plus most boons are very good on it, and quite often is 8 mana. 8 mana challenger quick attack recall 3, it's one of the best cards in the game imo. ​@@user-tl6qo4ck7c
