When teaching recall, you have to think of what is in it for the dog. When you call your dog back, does it mean you put him back on leash straight away? It is not really fun for him...
But if instead you turn your recall into games, then your dog will be highly motivated to come back to you as you are going to become so much more interesting than anything else around.
Playing recall games is the best way to train recall. Your dog will have fun, you will have fun with your dog, and as a result you will also have a stronger bond.

Sorry typo! I wanted to know what is the breed of dog? I have a dog who looks like him but smaller. I bought him as a Beagle/Beagle Harrier cross. I was recently told by Bark Busters to drop the Beagle as he doesn't have the same shape of head as Beagle. Find it a bit confusing.

@@tiahash2013 it is a foxhound, an American one… there is also an English version, smaller… it is basically a small beagle. Your dog might have foxhound genes so…

My only issue is...at no point was the dogs name used....considrring its a recall technique.

Not using the dog’s name but another word you only keep for the recall is the technique… You are probably calling your dog by their name 100 times a day already, and their name just gets lost in the noise… If you want to get their attention you need something else, a specific word that they start to have a reflex response too, so they come back…
