I have watched this so many times and I love the story it tells (or at least I think it tells.) This is the story that I think it tells. There are rumors of a demonic being haunting those ruins. Eventually, a young priest is sent down to find it. While searching the ruins he does come into contact with the being. However, instead of being able to exorcise it, he begins to fall for the creature. He decides to let the creature stay, but convinces it to stay on the down-low, promising to return again. The final scene is the two of them reuniting. That's the story I see in this masterpiece of a CMV.
