Thanks for the share! I’m a serious collector of sega systems and Nintendo systems. The collectors one either stay in their boxes or stay original. Then I have the ones I play. Are you aware of a motherboard hardwire hdmi update for the genesis model 2? And can these also be upgraded to wireless controllers?

Hi @davidminton6905, unfortunately, I'm not familiar with motherboard hardware HDMI update modification. I'm using 8bitdo wireless/bluetooth controller specifically for sega MD. ;)

Does it not support stereo sound?

I checked the manual but I didn't find anything related to audio so I can't answer this. If it helps, I recorded the gameplay captures using sega genesis model 2 in OBS and that's how they sound. Thanks!

Does it work on newer tvs with only hdmi 2.0's? My hyperlink doesn't ... only works on 1.0

The TV I've used in this review is only using hdmi 1.4. Sadly, I don't have a 4K TV right now or TV that has hdmi 2.0 ports. Does your TV only have 2.0? Most TV have another hdmi port that has 1.4 aside from the main 2.0. Most 2.0 also supports 1.4 (downward compatibility). I suggest troubleshooting your hyperkin hdmi first or getting a converter from 2.0 to 1.4 since I cannot assure that this will work. I'll check if I have a PC monitor that has 2.0. Thanks!
