I would love to see this compared to the psp component cables. I can not really tell if it looks washed out or not. Psp composite cables do video out, but only the component allows gameplay.

Just got these cables. The aftermarket component cables were cheaper and look better. They are less blurry too but I really like how these cables scale the image. My TV has a shitty scaler.

2:20 your 3.5 connector is bent...not sure this thing is good quality, especially at a $30 price tag. Also, it looks like it does what every other "HD" cable does for old consoles and makes them look all blurry, gonna have to pass.

I just got this cable today. Yes pretty late, as I didn't had funds back in the day. Anyway, I ordered my cable, and what can I say, it looks cool, but maybe a bit washed out compared to the official SONY component cable, probably, I need to make some adjustments. But what it throw me up, is that when I keep playing a game for too long, the module get warn, and some hissing noise comes out from my TV. I tried with different TVs, but still same issue result. Hope Hyperkin, solve this issue, other than that, it is quite fair my purchase

I didn't realize Enrico Colantoni was a PSP fan They should have made it auto-detect the zoom mode by checking for black pixels EDIT: Someone below suggested the LKV8000, which has a button on the connector at the PSP-side to switch between modes. That also would have worked better

You would still need a capture card. Fairly easy setup though.

@@milktoastopinions2020 Sorry I thought you were saying it "can output in 240p". In my testing, it outputs in 720p only. You would have to put it through another device to force it into 240p. I don't think it would be worth the effort. You could probably use the component cables that are available on Amazon and put it through an OSSC to accomplish this but again... it would be rather expensive and probably not worth the effort. This is a budget solution...

Your TV probably has a underscan/overscan +1/-1 setting that would alleviate that purple line at the top.

I hate to bother but i got a rasberry pi 3b handheld and the hdmi wont work so is there another way to hook it up to the tv? It has 4 usb ports, 2 micro usb ports, and headphone jack and a ethernet port and a hdmi that seems to not work. Is there some type of usb hdmi adapter to use on it or anything like that or no?

Mine doesnt work. Had it a few years used it once. Just moved recently and i can get it on the screen then it flashes on and off the screen. Other times its just a blank screen. Need help! Update* i was using only the usb to power it. It now seems stable after i uave hooked it up to a proper wall brick.

Did you test UMD movies with that cable? I tried the component psp cable with a component to hdmi converter on my 4K TV. The psp home menu and games can play on the 4K TV but the movies cant play with the converter for some reason.

Grigor Eftimov I didn’t compare it to the component cable because I couldn’t dig mine up. It looks better from what I can recall but it would be interesting to run the component cable through an OSSC. I’m sure that would look amazing but this solution is more about decent quality and easy of use IMO. It’s not going to be pristine but it does a good job.
