They should modify v1's ai to be way more aggressive and to regen health when it deals damage near itself, and to add the ability for it to parry some of your attacks, the higher the difficulty, the more the chance for it to parry

Well the problem is, V1 has a durability of a wet cardboard, Player V2 vs AI V1 would finish fight in 3-4 coins

@@exploertm8738 yeah, but in game you basically slaughter entire armies of demonic and robotic entities, while still being a lot fragile. you die very quick to enemies if you are not agressive enough. V2 AI's depends on the distance to manage it's ability to stay out of reach of V1's healing capabilities, so you should also stay the fuck alway of it, while V1 tries to hug you for your blood. It's not impossible, if you apply knockback to the fight to push V1 away

@@tiagocunha4821 Unless you make the V1 AI ungodly obnoxious by being able to dodge 9/10 of all the shots, or something like a permanent Whiplash hooked to our V2 to keep it ever close-range, you can just speedrun V1 quick enough so it can't close the distance and heal in time.

@@CamperN00b47 nah, because it being all time close range can make v1 be combo'd to oblivion. in game, you don't see v2 dashing, so we can cut it off, but v1 does it, making it invencible for some frames. actually, v1 does have more moviment tech than v2, and v2 at some point doesn't have the same weapons as v1. v1 is already the ultimate machine when he fought v2 the first time, he had more weapons and more movement tech. In the second fight, v2 get some more weapons, but the movement tech basically stays the same, probably because of the weight of its armor plates.

@@tiagocunha4821 But then in close range V1 can still be programmed to deal damage fast enough and heal from the damage inflicted on it, plus probably even more if it can parry like the OP suggested. It's precisely because of these mechanics and also its movement techs that make it pretty wack to balance, because there's only a slippery slope between it being damn near invincible to being an absolute wet noodle.

@@monki5315well, when you speedrun you focus on going fast and using big combos to clear rooms of enemies, the constant hp gain blood gives helps let you go fast and take damage. If you were V2, health you lose won’t come back, and over the course of a level you would die if you didn’t focus on only dodging. In my opinion the hp should be the S ranking time for a level times 800, for instance a 4 minute level would give you 3200 hp. But even then, this system of having a ton of hp over the course of a level is inherently flawed, with 1-3 being nigh impossible if you take both paths but easy as hell if you take only one. Rooms with double weapon power ups would be a huge health drain, and dying while halfway through a level will make the rest of the level easy with the extra hp

It would be interesting if you got hp from killing mechanical enemies like street cleaners and drones sentrys and v1 and take their parts to repair yourself as stated in the lore

You can repair yourself, and V2 and fuel himself, but neither are on the fly, they both take time in the lore obviously, it’s what makes V1 so special. It would break the flow of the game to have you do slow ahh stuff.

@@ishigami4622 i like the idea of a blood canister mechanic or part replacement tool, where if you hold a specific key like, let's say R, you then start repairing yourself which gradually speeds up the longer you hold it, but the drawback is that if you take any damage it interrupts the repair process and disables it for a second or two. I think it'd be a cool side-grade to V1's healing while also being its own thing

Pretty cool! I've been thinking, V2 in normal gameplay usually changes his AI depending on the color of his wings. Maybe when playing as V2 you randomly change wing color in order to get random stat changes such as more damage up close and more damage taken but more speed

He does change color and it changes his behavior, but it isn’t random at all, he reacts to what the player is doing. Run away? He’ll chase you. Play rushdown? He’ll run away. Challenge him mid range? He’ll circle you and spam his weapons. This can also change as he dashes to avoid damage so he might dash backwards and put himself into his chase state or vice versa if he dashes towards you. Plus while enraged he’s forced to chase you no matter what. The wing colors communicate what state he’s in, not the other way around. I don’t think randomness really is in the spirit of the game, plus random close range damage buff plus shotgun swapping makes the game an absolute cakewalk, but you have to pray for the rng to let you do it, I just think it takes away from the experience.

hakita should add a game mode or dlc where you play as V2 in remixed harder levels, and since V2 can't regen health he should have a higher health pool to insinuate his tankyness in lore.

i think the mod should lower your health and give you a heal other than blood orbs. it could either still be blood or machine pieces, since v2 still has a refueling system just not in contact + using metal from dead robots.

He shoud have the same as he has on hardest difficulty. But dont heal at all, even after going to next level your hp goes down and down. You have to manage it. Going to other layers coud heal you a little. But still you have one life, you die? Back to 0-1

V2 playstyle: No dash, but a way faster slide Only way to heal is Orb, way higher HP pool and take less damge Change Wing color depending on the situation. Wings take up Stamina over time. Low Stamina slows you down. Runaway: 50% damage done to you as well as dealt, weapon cooldowns shortened by 30% and speed doubled. Damages you if used too long. Rushdown: Speed doubled. Can't use arms. Double damage, but it lowers to a 25% boost over time. Neutral: No stat boosts, takes no stamina. If in Neutral for too long, you become Enraged. Enraged boosts all stats and lowers cooldowns. However, it drains stamina quickly. Switching wings in Enraged fully recharges stamina. Repair: A special weapon for V2 that replaces Dash. Dead enemies drop parts, which you can permanently add to v2's loadout. 3 upgrades at a time. Filth Teeth: Increases K.B strength by 20% Stray Arm: Projectile speed increased. Maurice Pebble: Explosive range and damge increased by 50%. Self damage doubled. Cerberus Ball: Parried projectiles spread into eight smaller ones. Drone Eye: 2% damage increase for each successful shot hit in a row. Streetcleaner Helmet: Blue attacks now have a very small parry window. I might make more ideas later

Full concept : V2 gets activated in a capsule , seemingly was staying there for repairs. Notices that his left arm is badly damaged , rips it off and starts pursuing the facility of hell He takes alternate routes and fights *fistsmachine* , a bulky machine similiar to the swordsmachine , after the fight , V2 steals the knuckle blaster from it At the Gates of hell , the cerberus fight is the same V2 takes another alternate route in layer 1 , goes around the castle in 1-4 and hears noises , glass breaking and the sound of hard metal steps , decides to investigate and meets V1 , a faster version of himself At the end of the fight , v2 steals the feedbacker and goes on to layer 2 , after a long chase with the corpse king , he escapes into layer 4 , completely skipping layer 3 he takes the same route as V1 in layer 4 and decides to wait for it on king sisyphus's throne , the fight is merely the same After the fight , V2 gets the whiplash from V1 and continues on From here every layer is the same Differences : many alternate routes , no healing mechanic(you start with Like 800hp on each level) , no fight with Gabriel

I disagree, I feel like this will be harder than original. you have 400 health but you can't heal from blood and parries. Only the health orb can though.

Yeah like, long levels like Castle. Vein, or Cry for the Weeper are MUCH harder with no healing. Though Vein does have the blood orb if you wanna make it easier.
