For anyone wondering if this Video is Worthing using 49 min on, well If you are completely new to organic chemistry, watch the video. But I advise you to study some kind of other book for a much better study of this chapter. Watching only this video is not enough because he has explained concepts nicely but in very short way.. It can be used as introduction to GOC but not as a guide. If you are not a complete new guy I’d advise you to still watch this but I don’t suggest the whole video. Start watching the video and skip through the parts you don’t need an introduction to.

I have a doubt, please solve it, at 3:45, you said that CH3 + has 6 e-s and it needs 2 more e-s, so there should be 2 +ve charges on the molecule as it needs 2 e-s,then how come it has only 1 +ve charge on it?

Sir, when you explained basic strength in inductive effect, you said (CH3)3 N is more basic than (CH3)2NH, actually it is wrong, this is what i found on google ####(CH3)2NH is a stronger base compared to (CH3)3N. This is because (CH3)2NH, also known as dimethylamine, has a lone pair of electrons on the nitrogen atom that is less crowded compared to the lone pairs on the nitrogen atoms in (CH3)3N, also known as trimethylamine. The greater crowding of lone pairs in (CH3)3N makes it less available for donation, making (CH3)2NH a stronger base.####
