Judge Mathis

Judge Mathis

27 күн бұрын

The plaintiff invited the defendant's son to play with her child. During the playdate, the plaintiff alleges the defendant's son burglarized her home, so the plaintiff is suing for stolen property. The defendant argues her son only started acting out because he was medicated for a disorder.

I think Judge was trying to be petty yet fair in a way. I think he only accepted their counterclaim bc the plaintiff called the boy a crack baby. But realistically a woman beats your underage son into a bloody pulp and you don’t call the police or even attempt to physically retaliate?? Plus earlier in the episode it is clear that the defendant attempted to rehearse the story background with the boy as he obviously got his details messed up and tried to backtrack. This whole case is just sad but I hope he stays on the right track!

I would have a problem with my son getting beat by a grown woman while I sit there and watch! What was the mother doing when this was happening. Naw, she would have gotten hulk smashed! Especially when I seen blood splattering. That is very hard to believe. IF that did actually happen, I understand the act of what he did was wrong, you leave the discipline to the mother.

Yes, he does. However, he also needs mental healthcare. Hopefully his father would provide a positive and authoritative force. However, I wonder if that would be the case. Because it would seem that his father knows he's needed even if he's not with the mother. Where is and what is he? We don't' know.

The Defendant's son requires DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) in a Juvenile Psychiatric Unit in a Psychiatric Hospital until he can learn how to control his violent impulsive behaviors with a n experienced Psychiatrist. Which specific disorder does the young man have that inspires your decision to suggest DBT? Why DBT rather than CBT or other cognitive or behavioral therapies? What specifically inspires your suggestion for the highest level of care rather than other levels of inpatient or outpatient care? What justification would you provide? Psychiatrists usually prescribe medications. What medications do you suggest? What other disciplines should be included as part of the complete healthcare team?
