1/2 cup water for thicker goop, 2/3 cup for more liquidy/squirtier goop 😆
Yellow food coloring (optional)
Plastic bottle with narrow opening
Funnel
Spoon
Balloon

Say hello 👋🏻 to the human body’s most fascinating creation: the teratoma (sometimes referred to as a dermoid cyst). Teratomas are benign germ cell tumors that most commonly develop in the ovary, but can also occur in the testicle and tailbone. These “pluripotent” germ cells can become anything they want to be (just like we tell our kids) and indeed give rise to all sorts of body parts: teeth 🦷, hair 💇🏻‍♀️, and tissues from the eyes 👁, thyroid 🦋, muscle 💪🏻, brain 🧠, and bone 🦴. And a lot of yellow goop. This is a fun (but messy) activity for any budding surgeon or pathologist!
