This is just textbook stuff that CB is doing here that ever coach covets. Notice the angle his knees are edged towards the rim from that corner side ready for the ball. You can’t ask for anything more. First team all rookie from this play alone.

@danieltaylor9459 Hayward is a good athlete with a 35.5 inch vertical. Braun is much quicker than Hayward and has a 42 inch vertical. So if he can develop his offensive skills like Hayward, he will be a dangerous player.

It's very possible that the announcers are so illiterate that they have never read of, or heard of, Eve Braun or Werner von Braun. Otherwise they would know how to pronounce Christian Braun's last name.

His name is Braun, not Brown. The pronunciation is different. The announcers should learn phonics. This is a case of the "dumbing down".

Yeah his name is definitely Braun as in “brawn”, it’s not the commentators though, him and his family claim it’s pronounced “brown”, the commentators all use to say it correctly. Their grandparents probably started pronouncing it the Anglo way and telling everyone it’s pronounced “brown” after WWII due to the stigma because it’s a German name and then they all kept saying it that way but it’s for sure Braun. It was the surname of the Austrian painters girlfriend too so even more stigma.

This is similar to two pronunciations of Berlin; bur-LHN Germany, and BUR-lyn, (town) Ohio, so I understand the reasons why some desire unorthodox pronunciations. The USA was at war with Germany twice in the last century, and the good people of Berlin, Ohio wanted to distance themselves from Germany. One way was to change the pronunciation of their town.
