Has some skill and with professional management he can be special. However, He needs to trust his team-mates more & not always demand the ball after every touch. Additionally he touches the ball too much & needs to work on his one touch game. Disruption of the opponents flow is good but then what, you going to shift down the whole side by yourself. That will only get you injured & a short career.

Facts. I’m not seeing link man talent. I see a lot back dribbling to his own goal, not playing the ball to the wing when 2 defenders converge on him. Not one assist or goal register in these highlights. That not going to do in EPL or MLS. Pro league needs results. If you cannot get them results they will find someone who can. Being crafty with the dribble in midfield with no intent on scoring or producing nothing in the final 3rd is not going to do it. Him have to improve his shot or striking ability. He got to know what he is going to do in the final 3rd. Either he going to go for his own shot on goal or try to set up the forward or play a thru ball to the winger. There has to be more intent.

As Jamaicans we have always glorified showmanship and individual skill and talent over effective team football. Here is another example of that. There is no doubt that he has potential but just the mere fact that he holds on to the ball as long as possible to get praises from the crowd shields where we still are in the developmental phase of football. Walter Boyd was the acclaimed magnificent footballer of the 90s because of his skill set but was dropped from the starting line up of the Reggae Boys football squad in 1998 by Rene Simoe’s because of his indiscipline and lack of team play. He found better use in building a team around Theodore Whitmore who eventually gave Jamaica there first ever World Cup gold. And by the way 19 years old is not a tender age to recruit and hone football talent. Ricardo Gardener was recruited at the age of 14 and nurtured to success
