Man the hype leading into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was something else. Between the initial announcement, the notice that the game would be releasing soon, and the direct along with the constant buzz within the community was incredible to say the least. It makes me excited for when the next big Monolithsoft, Xeno game gets announced

I got back into it!! I had only put 15-20 hrs into it between 2022 and 2023. I'm well over 100 hrs into it in 2024. There's things in the story of this game that really surprised me! Really dig the sophisticated, mature story. Game systems were overwhelming at first - but this XC entry did the best QoL and tutorials of all of them. BIG recommend!

5:05 xenoblade 3 was actually launched in place of splatoon 3 because splatoon 3 was not finished or in a good state during the time and xenoblade 3 was pretty much almost completely finished with only a few minor changes really needed left, so they swapped dates so that splatoon 3 could be finished. (Although the early release did have consequences as seen in chapter 6 and its seemingly incompleteness)

i hope we get an update, where our characters can learn. Master Driver Class. and Grand Marshal Class. like seriously why give shulk and rex as heroes if my characters cannot learn they're class. i wanna be an evade tank that does high damage like shulk and a DPS that hits the damage cap as easy as rex does.

I imagine it's the developers way of putting into gameplay mechanics the idea that Shulk & Rex as heroes are not canon, nor even really there. My theory for a possible in-universe explanation is that they're just lifeless shadows created by the Archsage with the (assumed) illusion of an interactable personality, and the conglomeration of all their memories tied to their most recognizable design. Or at least, that's my theory for Shulk, Fiora, & Elma in XC2's land of Challenge. (Fiora with long hair, Shulk with the Monado I, yet they both remember the end of XC1. Said designs and events never canonically coincided and everything the Archsage says is a lie because he wants Rex to believe that Shulk is really there, etc.) And I'm just applying it to here in XC3 as well. I don't think you can call any of this outlandish if you know just how deep XC3 lore actually goes. I think my theory is at least plausible. But in reality, it's probably just not canon and never happened, and that's the end of it.

The shading in XC3 is far from simple. It's a lot more complex than other switch games. The clothing, skin, eyes, and hair all have different shaders. The skin is cel shaded, idk how the clothes are done, the hair have that paint brush shader, the eyes are 3d with individual moving elements but with an effect to make them appear flat.

I just started XC 3 on the switch and love it. FF7 remake got me into rpg's to be honest and its one of my fav games of all time. So this is why I am vested in jrpg. I was surprised how great XC3 is on the switch.

With all my honesty,Xenoblade 3 for me IS best jrpg EVER created, it was Xenoblade 2 ,and it was hard to choose between those two. For me,Xenoblade 2 is MOST epic game ,buuut, Xenoblade 3 is more dramatic,and i personally dont like drama in game,but here it made on so hight quality level and bittersweet,that even i liked it.Also i more into adult heroes,so another point in Xeno 3(Noah), another thing that win me over in Xeno 3 is flute,i ABSOLUTELY LOVE flute music. Also more effects in Xeno 3,more side chars with mkre deep stories.

Wow its been two years. My favorite xenoblade and favorite JRPG of all time! Gameplay, music, story are all great! Most people liked 2's villains more than 3, which is understandable because all 3 (Malos, Jin and Malthus) were amazing but 3 also had great villains but a good mash up with the protags. There is still much to be desired in the villains, but N was more understandable when Future Redeemed dropped. FR was the greatest DLC I've seen. Too bad it doesn't have any new game+ but the customizable chain attacks in FR was amazing tbh. That customizability was what I loved in 3.

Im currently playing the DLC finally. It's great, but the Switch is def showing its age. Especially right after finishing FF7 Rebirth. Definitely a technical showcase for the Switch, though. I hope the next console is promising. Nintendo is in prime position to make gaming great again after all the long development time bs going on with PS5/XSX.

Xenoblade 3 has the best arc ending in the whole media (movies, anime, games included) with chapter 5 ending. The main villain wasn't that good but I think the ending overall was quite awesome with the 2 worlds getting together again.

I really don't know how anyone can find Chapter 5 appealing. It's a trope avalanche. The game had already demonstrated that it was afraid to let main characters die and that characters could return from death fully restored. So you're left slogging through the long, drawn out cutscenes only wondering exactly which cheap gimmick they're going to use to undo everything.

So good to watch a video celebrating the 2-year anniversary of Xenoblade 3 actualy praising it and not going "oh the game is not that good bc lots of people say so". I've played the three games on Switch, I actually played the first one on my New 3DS and immediately fell in love with it even though the graphics were so ugly. XC2 to me was sooo disappointing. I hated a huge part of the gameplay. I thought it was so annoying that I needed to play some minigame to get upgrades to Poppi, I hated the Blade thing, I hated the voice acting not being sync'd at all the scenes... then I eventually fell in love with it. But XC3 hooked me from the get-go. I loved absolutely everything. It has the best combat in the series, the best performance, exploring it is so good, I loooooove the side quests. I did all of them and loved it (something I never did for the other two). The voice acting is marvelous, I loved all the Heroes and how the game starts really dark, but as you help the different Colonies you make it better, then dealing with the ending hit me harder. I love the cutscenes and the themes. It's my favorite game on Switch and probably in life. And man I love Torna - The Golden Country, but Future Redeemed really gave me chills. It was just amazing. I do have my critiques of the game. I'm not a fan of the last "dungeon", and I think the final boss fight is a bit too long, and I do wish we could have more to do with Glimmer and Nikol, but overall, XC3 was my most beautiful, amazing, intense and fun experience on Nintendo Switch, which is something considering all the amazing games I played on this console.

Probably go through them in order if you’ve already played 1, so you don’t miss out on half of the references. Some stuff isn’t fully explained in 3, so as to not confuse people who start with 3, but you get a lot more out of it with playing 1 & 2 first. All 3 games are awesome but they’re really different from each other, so a lot of people think one is better than the other two, but it’s really up to your taste. I personally really love all three, but 2 has my favorite story, world, combat, and music

Love every game in this series and felt XC3 Monolith Soft took everything they learned and put together their magnum opus. One thing I love they changed was the hero system not being a gotcha mechanic, you unlocked & upgraded them through side quests, which is infinitely better imo. Loved it so much. I lucked out and got the collector’s edition, that’s something Nintendo has got to figure out, I say just have an initial batch, make an announcement and ask fans to request one and then make the difference to order if higher demand (only have the window to order be like 2 weeks or so) Also something I never got, I love that Chain Attack music, I don’t see the issue with it, but everyone has different taste. (I mean you say repetitive, but all music is on a loop so I don’t get that)

I started whit xenoblade 3 and did xenoblade 2 after, honestly they are both awesome and it makes almost no diference in which you start. When i was doing 2 i got some references that happened on the 3 game and i was like "oh, so this is where it comes from" From the story viewpoint it makes no diference they are both awesome Gameplay they both have their diferences but both great, i think xenoblade 2 battle mechanism is more appealing and keeps you more focused on the build etc. But 3 has more custumization in battle and even diferent suits for even more characters and the cutscenes from 3 are slightly better in my opinion when they really know how to make you feel, and if you like long cutscenes even better I cant talk about 1 however Honestly pick one of them, it makes no diference, and you will probably end up buying the 3 of them sooner or later 😂

Easily one of the best games (series) I've ever played. 100s of hours sunk into this masterpiece. I love class/jobs systems in RPGs and they combined that with XC.. 🥶 I've done pretty much all i can in 1, Torna, and 3( and Future Redeemed), but i really enjoy the Gauntlet Mode in 3(also trying to get the last few costumes). 3 is my favorite out the games with Torna and XCDE not far behind. I'm going to finish up the last couple quests I can in 2 today.

I strongly believe 3 is the best given the mass party fighting all at once, so many of the best characterization and story, and the best chain attacks ever. Especially with Future Redeemed making even more improvements to the system. I also love the Fusion mechanic. Also, Xenoblade Chronicles X was highly underappreciated; but it was hard to get appreciated due to the Wii U. But it's something noted as one of the main examples where having 4K resolution would translate super well.

You’re gonna be really confused during Future Redeemed if you don’t play 1 & 2 first. It fully spoils those games and there are lots of references and story moments you won’t understand. A lot of the overarching story isn’t touched on at all in 3’s base game. There’s 3 returning characters as party members and the rest of the party is closely tied to them as well

I didn't like the original Wii version at all... I just couldn't like Shulk no matter what, I hated the cast, I hated how chatty they were (glad part 2 let me silence thier stupid banter), BUT I did enjoy part 2... That being said is Part 1 Definitive Edition worth playing or should I just watch some story catch up videos of part 1? Can I just play 3 having only played 2, and skipped 1, and X. I did enjoy Xenogears a LOT and Xenosaga Episode 1 was good, hated 2 and skipped 3. I want to get 3 but don't want to be lost. P.S. OJ would love for you to do a full summary and explaining of everything you need before Xeno 3 to know whats going on.

I had a somewhat related problem with the first game but XB Definitive Edition fixes the potato faces of the Wii version and makes the cast a more enjoyable. As for connections between games, XB3 is very shallow and loosely connected to the other games. The worlds of the first games have collided and that's it... the story doesn't even explain its own scenario. So, all it really does, is steal a few characters on the side and repeats themes from the other games. XCX has no relationship to XB3 at all.

I respect those who say 2 is better than 3, but that opinion just baffles me to be honest. Dont get me wrong. I love 2. It came during a very dark time in my life. But it definitely has quirks. 3: far less 'fanservice', no gatcha, and you can switch party members in battle, sonething that the first two games really could have used.

The fan service isn't as in-your-face, but it's there. Double standards are there. Gatcha gives you something to do outside the main game. I actually hoped every hero would get a chart to fill out but nothing. I didn't even bother switching party members, because I usually tried to get Oroborous to level 3, but as soon as you switch they'll fuse. XC2's system was a lot better, where the party members let you know that their ability is ready. Cycling through the whole party is also rather awkward. XC2 is incredibly juvenile on first glance, and even on second and tenth, but it actually tackles serious issues and portrays a believable world. XC3 starts with a gut punch but then turns into fan fiction material. It's quite obvious that the trilogy wasn't planned from the beginning.

Tbh it's really hard to say if XC3 is really the best jrpg on Swich because Switch is just an insane jrpg beast. XC3 while unfortunately we already got some of leaks about the game before hand (Like melia and many past charatcers are coming back etc.), the game is just mindblowing and even for big Xenoblade fans, many were surprised how good the game is. While I have personal nitpicks like how XC3 tones down the outfit design compre to XC2, mobius are mostly cartoonish and not good villains for the most part. And last but not least, Heroes like Ethel and Cammurai barely have any character developement, and compare to XC2 having tons of DLC blades, XC3 only has 2... 2 DLC heroes, definitely a miss opportinuty to have existing NPCs being as DLC heroes in my opinion. But overall, XC3 is just awesome for anyone who is interested in action jrpgs. As for the music, I alredy stated it multiple times, XCX is still the best imo because it's Sawano, and XCX is Sawano's only true video game he ever worked on. But XC3 tracks are still amazing ofc, just idk mitsuda is awesome composer,but I feel like XC3 and XC2 is lacking variety compre to XC1 and XCX.
