This exact thing happened to me back when the fan-made Hardcore craze was going on. I made a warrior and got it to somewhere in the mid 20's, logged off for the night, and woke up to a 6 month ban for "Violating ToS." Was never given a specific reason as to how I did that even when I asked, and all 4 of my appeals were given the same copy/paste response. It's been like this for years, people are only noticing now because it's happening En Masse

Just FYI mage boosters are most likely getting banned for getting mass reported when they advertise in any channel but the new opt in services channel. Blizzard has said this is a reportable offense. Any boosting or summon service needs to be posted only in that channel, otherwise its bannable.

Blizzard literally deleted two full guild banks with over 500-700 million in investments. After four months of tickets, where said help was coming, they banned me for three days for duplicate tickets.

This is the same reason I quit playing League of Legends. I opened a support ticket asking for assistance with a small bug; rather than addressing my issue they red flagged me and locked me out of my account and demanded I go through an "account recovery process" where I had to prove to them that I was the rightful owner of the account. It was like this in 2019 and no one cared, no one ever cares. Automated jump hacking zg boosts?? What other mmo have you heard of that has teleporting flying bots, I never seen that shit in runescape. It must of been years now where they made it the only way you could submit a ticket was if it involved a payment problem. We've seen this in the Overwatch reddit where waves of people were posting fake emails until one of the head Devs came through and exposed dozens upon dozens of them directly by pulling up the reference numbers. People who use mage boosting aren't paying for it with legitimate gold in the vast majority of cases. They're paying for the boosts with gold that they buy from botters. Boosters are part of the problem, like it or not.

I always find it funny when people get upset over the playerbase or actions by Blizzard. You can act like the toxicity isnt a byproduct of the games design, that its not completely intended. If something can be abuse, the playerbase will abuse it. The fact its difficult to report people for certain activities, and the customer service is practically non existent, its all by design. They want people at each others throats, they want people to treat each other like NPCs. I didnt even realize how deep this particular rabbit hole went until I spent about 2 years away from wow playing other games. Its a rotting cesspool and long time players are so engulfed by the quagmire, they dont even realize it.

This isn't even a new phenomenon. Back when Classic Era had it's huge resurgence during the non-official Hardcore craze, I started playing Era. I started a warrior (wasn't playing HC, just normally playing) and played day and night for a few days (I binge play games like this) and finally logged off for a long night of sleep at one point. The next day I woke up to see an email saying my account had been banned for 6 months for "Violating Terms of Service." There was no specific reason given, they in no way told me 'how' I had violated terms. I appealed the ban, and was almost immediately auto denied, and still given no reason as to why I was banned even though I asked for specifics in my appeal. I appealed 3 more times and got the same message every time. The only thing I can think of as to what might have happened is that when I was questing in Hillsbrad, I got into several fights with a player RP'ing as a guard in the farm area as I tried to get my quests done. He was higher level and killed me several times, but on my last corpse run back I rezzed in time to see another hordie had showed up and was fighting him. I rezzed, popped a potion, and charged in to help get the kill. I logged off for the night an hour after that, so maybe he and his friends/guild mass reported me? I can't think of any other reason other than tripping some flag for playing for so many hours.

There's a LOT of botting in anniversary. Just ask for an enchant and you're automatically invited, that second. That's just an example. Automated actions, game is full of them.

I got banned for 2 weeks for buying Gold. Yet I didnt buy any gold. A friend asked me hey can I barrow 100g in for a item upgrade. I said Sure here gave him 100g then a few days later we were talking and he said Oh I made the 100g to repay you here a few more days I got banned for 2 weeks. I did serval tickets and everytime I got a Auto reply. It was BS I never pay for any gold in this game and in SoD I had plenty of gold just cause of the Dev mess up. So sorta sucks that my account has a false banned on it. So I quit for a while then came back cause of the New fresh servers.

I played from 2006 to 2014 and just came back when tww came out and switched over the classic pretty quick been really enjoying the game and the new servers so far really hoping I don’t get banned though I don’t have much time to play anymore and I certainly can’t see myself try to contact customer support 10+ times that would probably be the end of my Warcraft journey again I would just unsubscribe especially if I want breaking the rules. My guild had to name change like 5+ times (I lost count, there was always a "guild name change alert" in or guild tab and the name would always be some new random set of letters.) and the guild leader was temp banned a few times because his name was donald trump and the guild name was Make Azeroth Great Again. Neither of these are against TOS yet we've been getting force name changes non stop that everyone just gave up and left. It is absolutely **NOT** Bannable. If you think it is, you're either referring to Retail or Season of Mastery. It's completely understandable that people get confused with all these different versions of WoW. Here's Blizzard recent post & reply, on boosting in Classic WoW: "Individuals and guilds selling boost or assistance in raiding, dungeon, or PvP activities for gold is allowed but can only be advertised in-game through the Trade Services chat channel." If you read that and somehow come to the conclusion that boosting is bannable I feel incredibly sorry for your brain.

in a month,, i already get ban 3 times.. 3 fkn times... first on Nov 27 by the offense of Abused the Economy which permaban my 3 WoW included 1 is trial. i get it, it's my fault by going to g2g i won't complain about it.. second one is 4 Dec, acused as Unauthorized Cheat Programs (Hacks) on WoW 4, like in my mind are "tf is this???" 3rd is on Dec 11, another Unauthorized Cheat Programs (Hacks) WoW5 while my pc is cleaned as clean as nothing in it!.. i've been tried to appeal on the second one and first appeal is they refused on lifted the ban by sending me a fkn EULA and ToS which i already read it a long ago, then i send another appeal on WoW 4 and they got mad because think im sending a troll appeal while strethening me to close my bnet, and now am waiting for another appeal on WoW5.. am done blizzard, if am not getting my WoW back i'll never touch any game on this dev!

The only way this will change is if a massive boycott is scheduled. It would need thousands of subs deciding to unsub for a month. That is the only way you'll get their attention because Blizz knows they won the MMO war. There aren't any games to contend with them anymore. Because boosting is NOT against their terms of service and they have said themselves that it is allowed. Just because YOU don't like boosting, that does not mean it's okay to get banned for it when it is within the legality of the game. This is like me getting you banned because I don't like your name. Or me getting you banned because you carried the flag in Warsong Gulch. Or me getting you banned because you're trying to sell an Epic World BoE you found and I dislike you for getting that world BoE. If boosting was AGAINST Terms of Service, ofcourse people should get banned for it. But it isn't. Just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean people should get banned for it. Room temperature IQ at it's finest. And I measure temperature in Celsius.
