My favorite place to get to was the Mausoleum in the tallest rock in Orgrimmar. Back when Cataclysm launched you could glitch into the terrain and then summon a flying mount to fly up into the little place that held a memorial for someone.

You could also glitch through a chimney in the mage quarter (did not work with tauren) and you could escape sw and fly beneath the map - i flew to quel thalas and also made a stop in the water section of the deeprum tram to say hello to nessy😂

the Ironforge Airport was converted into a quest hub in Cata, and in legion they turned the dead zone in Tirisfal into Tyr's tomb if i remember correctly.

Long ago, when I was still young-ish and new to the game and kind of nerdy (right before Wrath), I found my way to a few of places I wasn't supposed to be in. I'm kind of a nerd and couldn't help myself. I found my way to the High Elf area, by swimming a long ways. That island that's off the coast Tanaris, I used to swim until I died of fatigue, corpse ran my way to my body and rezzed and kept doing that until I reached the island. Also by swimming , I found my way to the tauren place. I found Newman's landing also. I spent more hours doing crap like that than actually leveling and doing raids/dungeons, to my nerdy heart's content.

This trinket is my favorite part of SoD. Literally log on every 4 hours to see where it will take me. Some cool spots you missed were: the troll dance party near darkshore, GM island, Hyjal, and a mysterious FP up in Karazan tower

Hyjal and the caverns of time (including the catacombs near Karazhan) were my top list as a child in WoW Vanilla :3 I felt like an explorer going into forbidden and unknown places.

The dalaran creator was actually used in the game. I can't remember the dlc it was for, but it was a pre patch content. I remember this because I sold many of the portal scroll to mages for 10k g each. The one who has that scroll can port there.

I can confirm it does teleport to Quel'thalas I immediately got gm freezed and teleported back to Ironforge

In Vanilla/TBC/WoTLK, I used to visit these areas all the time. Some were harder than others to reach, but I was able to reach all of these areas in the video. It's cool they're giving folks an item that takes you straight there! If you work your way up the hills near the bengal tiger cave, you can actually get into uninstanced Zul'gurub, which is pretty neat. There is also a tree in Duskwood wedged up against the hill in such a way that you could jump onto it and up into the mountains. Going up that way allows you to jump into Zul'gurub, and also reach the bengal tiger cave. There's also an area above that Stonetalon lumber camp that's just flat, single-textured area. But it has what looked like 5x5 squares of the map that stretch straight down into the ground. Some were so deep, you could fall in and die lol More often than not, if you died in these out of bounds / unfinished areas, your ghost ended up in Westfall. Took rezz sickness there a lot, because sometimes I'd die breaking boundaries in Kalimdor and end up in Westfall lol

When you do a very simple wallhop at the spot in Desolace above the skeleton area, you can go over the mountains and to a hugeeee area below Dire Maul. You can actually see the portals and some mobs above you

All those Locations shown can be gotten to via Parkouring or swimming to them, the few that my guildies been teleported to where the mage tower of Farlas and the Goblin spa resort also in the same zone. Some of the areas that I've Gotten to in SOD via Parkouring and the teleport might take you there is the Troll village of Dark shore (level 55 there) and Hyjal cant think of any others at the moment that I've been to.

there was an entire event dedicated to the ironforge airport lol. You flew a bomber. you can get past the icewall into upper if too... but theres nothing there

Okay so the help mountains makes a little bit of sense in Warcraft lore cuz there's zeppelins flying around in that area. Also there's venture Co doing capitalism and gizmo is there they have flying machines. I theorize that those could have been downed air men who survived but we're left stranded on top of a peak they could not get down. It's warcraft so it could be crueller than that. Maybe people that disagreed with venture Co got stranded up there for reasons it's the venture Co.

If memory serves the dragon in the cave nearby the former residence of the Oceanmane is a reference to someone. I can't remember exactly who off the cuff, but I recall it quite explicitly because I used to like to pretend that cave was my Warlock's distant lair until I learned it had been given a new occupant.

3:50 in that cave that dragon is special his name was a real nick name of wow player who really loved this game but died on cancer so devs added this dragon named it after his avatar or nickname to remember him btw i visited most of them but 2-3 i want to do if i will go back to wow sometime

The reason why Gilneas and Dalaran were made to be off limits, was because with Undercity being a major Horde city, there would be far too much alliance activity in the Eastern Kingdoms area if those cities on top of Stromgarde were active, and especially with Dalaran being a major lore area, it couldn't be left as just a minor quest hub so that's why they sealed Dalaran and Gilneas off.

??? The ironforge air field is used in retail these days and has been since at least Cata; It's a low level questing zone. It was something they didn't have time for during Vanilla's development and was likely as you said part of the original plan for Ironforge. There are quite a few things like that in Vanilla so it's not necessarily that surprising nor mysterious.

I got stuck in a root in Feralas, unstucked and ended up inside the locked door leading to one of the dire maul entrances. I couldnt go in and I didnt have the key to get out of the hallway so I just had to waste my hearth instead of burning 2g on a summon

Hyjal has to be teleportable to thats like the exploration crown jewelry in classic. Other places that exist but are probably not teleportable to are gm island, dev Island, hellfire peninsula, and the emerald dream.

I went with forbidden because even though some players could figure out ways to access them, the developers original intentions were for those areas to not be accessible by players

well most was some was just quest that never got finished. the Stonetallon Lumbermill had evidence that it was supposed to be a quest zone or quest target whit a cave tunnel going there and evidence of the entrence cave on the other side (where player where). I also think there was a few quest chain in the game data that pointed there but the quest itself was incomeple. like quest ID 404 that referenses the Stonetallon zone and some other data but yee nothing more.
