I’m a new dm and just had my session 1 of this campaign with my players. We all had a blast (including me) but especially my players. Its a really great campaign, and I’m already coming up with some fun ideas for my players for session 2 as they attend the Big Top Extravaganza (I have 7 players so its slow going but fun)

It might be interesting to select a subclass that is typically under-loved because it's not great at combat. The ability to go through an adventure without combat is frankly incredible. I'm glad this can be communicated to players in case they want to go for the pacifist route, haha.

for sure! combat happens all the time, not too many campaigns lean on a lack of combat!

Wonder if an illusion wizard would be goof for this .. its usually considered pretty weak but this seems like the type of adventure where it could shine

how many characters are recommended for this adventure or does anyone really know. only asking because i am used to older adventure modules listing character levels and number of adventurers

I would say this is good for any sized group, especially if they lean in on social interaction vs doing combat. Combat wise, 3-6 works well!

May i ask something? I couldnt find the answer on this, maybe because i looked wrong but still. So, what is the purpose of our party being there? What starts the story for us to be there?
