Players that take longer to sell have one thing in common, they don't usually have enough buyers in the market for them. The level of interest from buyers are low, so the price will need to go down in order to attract buyers. So hold on to the player but also keep a close eye on the transfer market for that player.

Automatically your player is no longer on the market despite saying selling. You always need to resell the moment the market price changes

Lowering the price for a player will attract buyers. Everybody wants to get a good player with high overall but cannot afford to pay that amount of coins. That is why there are ranges of prices to choose from when selling. Going for the cheap option will be what buyers will go for. So reduce the price of the player and see. When the price changes, you resell until someone buys the player.

You are selling to people like yourself.... if people are not interested the player will not sell. So you need to set your price and wait. When the price changes, you resell to adjust to the new price. Do like that until you sell the player.
