1:08:09 OMG, he perfectly guessed everything about the prisoner and their motivations but just went "Nah, that can't be it, the missing skeleton has to be one that died during the artifact experiments." Clairvoyancy one moment, and the next he completely glosses over the fact that the sleeping chambers were probably built after the artifacts were developed.

My favorite part of watching people play echoes of the eye is that initial drop. The game is usually so slow and you just sorta peek at stuff, but here you press a random button and now you're River rafting on a ring world.

i just wanna say that the way i got in the basement was fucking insane I waited until the last possible second to turn off the lights, so that i'd jump off, the olwks die bc of the tower falling, and i run to the basement at full speed while the music plays. It was so nerve wraking, took many attemps, but it fucking worked. I was too scared of the olwks for stealth
@celestialspark5697
@celestialspark5697 Жыл бұрын
I did something similar, but after turning off the lights, I just jumped from the balcony right in front of the entry tower straight into the courtyard with the alarm system (landing on a rock to break my fall slightly early), skipping all but the final three patrols, then waiting for the tower to break for those, so I could start from close enough to view the glitch reel, and then I used that to get back with more time for the other reels. I'm not sure if this is one of the jumps they later patched to be impossible. I also did the puzzle solution using the boat for Endless Canyon so you don't have to stealth at all. (My logic was, "Outer Wilds is a puzzle game, not a stealth game. There has to be an easier way than stealthing through this whole sequence.")

I've always wondered if there was a way to circumvent that stealth section, like the canyon one. Well done!

@@SnowpanelThere is: right after you extinguish the lights, jump down onto the boardwalk and run to the nearest guard's elevator as he uses it to descend to the well. As the elevator returns, jump on top and ride it to the guard's second-floor room. Then enter the elevator and ride it down. I'm always surprised how unknown this is, given how overtly the level design signposts this (a piece of the boardwalk juts off into the path of the elevator, and railing is missing at the end...)

If it makes you feel any better buddy, then just know that the prisoner was in fact already dead in the real world but only his subconscious was trapped in the simulation. He was set free in a way. The Prisoner was finally set free. The reel he shows us at the end also heavily emphasizes on this. Just so you know

Bonus eviler supercut of anyone uttering the name "Dyson"
@Bahzur
@Bahzur 7 ай бұрын
@@quantumblur_3145 My first thought when i saw it was "Ring World". And just to do a bit 'uhm, actually 🤓', a Dyson Sphere which i think you mean would be something different; it would be around a star and completly encapsulate it as a sphere, also its used for energy generation and i dont think youd be able to live inside it... Or does Dyson stand for more than the famous sphere and he invisioned more superstructures?
@quantumblur_3145

@@Bahzur i know. I referred to it as "eviler" because anyone in that compilation is wrong and Dyson spheres are dumb
@Woodledude
@Woodledude 26 күн бұрын
@@Bahzur In theory, you'd be able to live in a Dyson Sphere, if we ever figure out the engineering necessary to make one gravitationally and structurally stable. Especially if you build the shell to be 0.025 AU (~2.3 million miles) in radius, the distance from the sun at which its gravity creates a pull of about 1g. The outer surface and any interior spaces would get gravity from this. Spin gravity wouldn't really be feasible for a sphere, unfortunately, so you couldn't make a smaller shell without also increasing the experienced gravity. There's also the issue of heat, which is kind of just true of literally every space endeavor, but especially so if your intention is to effectively trap the sun and its solar wind in a cage. And making a shell that big is... Let's say an *exciting engineering challenge.* The most feasible thing that accomplishes what a Dyson sphere is designed to do is a Dyson Swarm, which is basically just a series of independent satellites that collectively block the sun's light totally. Which obviously is a huge undertaking, but unlike the Dyson Sphere, is actually logistically and mechanically feasible and provides returns on investment immediately. And I think it goes without saying you could live on one of these satellites - That is actually probably the most efficient way to use the power from one, instead of having to transport the power long distances to a planet somewhere. . . As an aside, I will point out... Technically, if we figure out how to make orbital rings of arbitrary size, those could provide the structural support a Dyson sphere would require... but you'd still need a way to keep it gravitationally stable. Stellar engines could maybe be used for that? It seems sketchy as hell, but theoretically balancing the shell on the sun with massive, sun-powered thrusters could be a way to make that work. It does seem like a lot more work to create more problems and not solve any that I can think of, but technically one can imagine a way to build one using existing physics, if not existing technology. It's ridiculous and inconceivably pointless from a modern perspective, but I'm not convinced it's impossible. I'm also not convinced there isn't a practical use case for a total shell like that, just not one I can think of off the top of my head.

@leonebersbacher3609

According to comments under their last OW video Eelis made the supercut without asking and simply deleted the video when Luckless send them an email asking about it without responding to the email
@FurryEncyclopaedia
@FurryEncyclopaedia Жыл бұрын
I honestly don't believe Luckless sent an email, based on their language it sounds more likely that it was nothing but a veiled threat. They seem to live on a horse so high it's touching the bloody clouds, seeing as they straight up insult the viewers of Eelus whilst talking to one, who is only on his channel because of the supercut. They also say they can't "in good conscience" work with Eelus and claim that they can not allow a channel like Eelus to do what it wants without suffering the repercussions, which sounds like a threat. I honestly might be wrong, but I'm very cynical of content creators these day, so many of them are just awful people looking for attention.
@LucklessLovelocks
@LucklessLovelocks Жыл бұрын
@@FurryEncyclopaediaI did send an email to them asking them to take the video down as that was frankly copyright infringement. I've still not received a response from Eelis but saw that it was removed. I contacted some other creators and they did get permission from the ones that responded to me so that's good. I maybe reacted a bit more harshly than I should have but it really hurt to see another creator just steal something that I worked hard on. If they had just contacted me before we could have worked something out. I'm easy to contact and generally easy going but this was just a shock. Then seeing some of the comments on the video also took me by surprise as no one had any idea that the content was used without permission. I just couldn't stay quiet and let it happen without letting people know. At that point I assumed all the videos were created without permission. Knowing Eelis did get permission for at least some of the videos they make I would have handled it differently. In terms of someone being on a high horse don't you think it's weird that Eelis hasn't addressed this or contacted me to apologize, explain... anything? Did they forget, was it laziness, did they think it was ok, did I miss the request or something? I have no idea.At least I'm taking time to explain what happened to the person that commented on my video and this comment. Where's Eelis at?
@FurryEncyclopaedia
@FurryEncyclopaedia Жыл бұрын
The copyright infringement wasn't something I was ever going to argue was okay, it was down right infuriating learning that it even happened, it was your response@@LucklessLovelocks that had me up in arms. It was probably the wording that revolved around consciousness that made your response so off-putting, but in the end it certainly triggered my paranoid head into thinking manipulation was the end goal, I've just witnessed so much manipulation on this platform from creators that made use of a high moral position like a smoke screen to obfuscate and obscure their own misdeeds. I do apologise for the earlier insinuation, as you do seem far more reasonable in this response than your previous. Seeing as that is the case, I think I'll get back to binging your Subnautica let's play, you would be surprised how so few people actually read the data entry's in that game.
@LucklessLovelocks
@LucklessLovelocks Жыл бұрын
Thanks and no problem. I appreciate your thoughtful response. I try to be fair, thoughtful but assertive when something isn't right but I can often be too direct. As a creator I do see how rare thoughtfulness is on the internet so I'm really glad to meet you@@FurryEncyclopaedia
