I’ve played the a5 sabre but the mig 15 bis is just a different world in terms of engine power I really want to give it a go if I reach that point in ussr, Germany or italy

Its so nice getting out of the 8.0-8.7 area and onto jets with 20mms and afterburners, especially playing the sabres and Cl-13s

Man I wish this thing was good. However seeing F-104s in my Japanese Sabre every other game is not a feeling I would wish on my worst enemy. The BR compression at this tier in particular is practically comical. It feels like you can’t catch anything, and whatever you can catch you get out-turned by most likely. I never got far enough with War Thunder at the time these were top tier and I really wish I did

Same, its just RNG if you get a br that you could help out in and not get stomped which is rare these days, I had a match that everyone died and I was the last guy left against 5 others and shot 4 down and 1 crashed trying to get me, but I had to really fight hard, just got lucky really.

@ I have far better luck in the Kikka with 100 rounds and a dream haha. I feel like that says all I really need to say on the matter. I did just unlock the RTAF F-84 though and that’s been good fun at 7.7

104s are not a problen as long as i can go almost mach 1 and have aim 9s. …but without missiles? usually theyy can not touch me and i cant touch them, so it ends in a draw with tickets running out for one or the other…

The F-86 A5 was the original US top tier, the F-25 and F-2 were added in late 2013

The one thing you absolutely never want to do against a Javelin is climb - people think it's bad because it's big and looks silly, but the Javelin is a seriously good aircraft at it's own br Plus they changed the loadouts so you can now have 4x 30mm cannons and 4 (uncaged) 15G missiles

Wasn't the F25 always there? The F2 was added some time after but I'm pretty sure the F25 had been there since the start?

@@WeBeStronk nope was just the a-5 at around 2011-2012 don't think it was untill mid way though 2013 they brought in the other 2

@@WeBeStronk I'm talking all the way back in 1.25/27 when I first installed the game, back then it was MiG-15bis (with NS-23 cannons) v F-86A-5 (with M2's) and the other three nations stuck with WW2 jets and rockets

@@WeBeStronk F-25 and F-2 were added in september 2013, over a year into the game's life cycle. The first year of warthunder top tier was utterly dominated by the Mig-15bis walking all over the A5 sabre (which only had M2 50cals) and meteors

Very cool fights on jet fighters. By the way, try to make a joint fight on Soviet piston aircraft I-16 type 24. These are very maneuverable and fast planes with good machine guns.
