You missed a nest ball in the box by your boss and the guy and the bottom left right of the island that said to talk to him after getting a mission is there to grind and get poke balls from! I caught a vulpix (they DO spawn) with the nest ball. The guy will offer to battle after getting your first mission and beating him nets you 5 free poke balls and you can battle over and over!

managed to get a vulpix after 1 hour... -SpAtk T.T but drought is such a good ability that it doen't matter (i hope at least)

I just finished the game and it was very good. But on the sevii islands I (like you in the video) missed a lot. after you take her down you can also go right and find a cave with a lot of items also you can get 5 pokéballs from a grunt outside after getting the mission and there is also a lot of trainers on the right of the base you can battle aswell as getting a metal coat.
