I found the best way for naval landing is to simply naval invade with as much different armies as possible, because with every next battle there will be less enemy. Features of this war system👌

No, the armies are tied to regions, thus if you invade the region of the Baltic, you will fight against the Russian army in the baltic, but if you invade siberia for example, you would fight only against a couple of troops. and the reason he was actually losing is because he was invading with too many troops in comparison to how much he allocated his navy with, so if you use 25 galleys to invade with 50 troops, you will have a minus -50 on every attack and defense during the naval invasion.

@@ShantanuSuchil Thas kinda unnecessary because the game is anti-human wave, meaning even if you send in only 30 battalions against a region with a hundred, 9 times out of ten, it will be a battle between something like 27 battalions vs 32, like you can storm Petersberg as the Ottoman Empire in the 1870s with only 100 skirmish battalions against 500 russian stacks (I did that while they also had China, who was for some reasonly fully modernised, with Mobile artillery and line Infantry) , cuz the game is kinda retarded so the battles will never be large even though the battles are in plains.

Kinda irritating that France is so strong in Vic3. Riven by social strife, wealth inequality & corruption. In this game's timespan, historically the unstable constitutional monarchy was taken over by a republic overthrown by an emperor that saw his nation rinsed in a war with Prussia. That never seems to happen, & as a result France always dominates. Game is too dang placcid. Edit: That said, always a joy watching Laith; wish the game would throw him some historical curveballs.

The fact that France was able to puppet spain with only Russia putting up an immediate military resistance, when irl the war of Spanish succession was much more difficult and brought in multiple Great powers at the fear of France gaining Spain.

Personally I’ve found the strongest strat is to transfer subject over the British Raj day 1. Also makes you a pariah, but what is Europe going to do about it, and that gives you copious Opium and other agricultural things letting you pump up industry in the Metropole with reckless abandon as soon as you can integrate them.

There was a fix that stopped treaty ports from working if the owner of the land is of an equal or higher level than the treaty port owner That means France cannot get access to the British market because the UK and France are both great powers

A Great Power with treaty ports will not get any benefit from them (other than owning that bit of land) if the market the port would get access to is run by another Great Power.

Yeah France is really op in Vic3, their techlead + position + ease of colonization policy means they will just snowball insanely quickly. By comparison Ming (*qing obviously) has the stronger starting-base but grows really slowly due to bad politics and tech. Given the short timeframe i think the high momentum of france (or britain) likely beats any other nation(s) until 1936.

I did a Qing game where I just puppeted South-East Asia. Trying to balance infamy and such. Then Heavenly Kingdom dropped and it dumped my infamy into the 100';s and I was like...Fuck it. You become my puppet, and you and you and you! So I puppeted everything between Korea and Iran. All that allowed my market to grow + improving military and at one point only the French and British could defeat me on the ground. Unless I raided all their convoys and their armies had a perpetual 0% morale. It was fun. But also a bit annoying since Russia and Britain backed off so many times when I just wanted more land from the Russians and puppets from the British. Game lasted till 1946 I think.

I did my first Qing run. Currently #2 GP with 1.2B gdp. The biggest theme is PAPER and Government Administration. Crazy with the new unrealized tax feature you start off with a million in taxes so far out of reach. Took me until 1880s just to get the entire population taxed 100%. The fun part with China is never having to switch to efficiency methods. Throw bodies at everything and still have dozens of millions of peasants.

Good diction of Louis Philippe d'Orlean Occitan is pronounced like Ocsitan or Oxitan, "ci" is pronnounced "si" and the first c pronounced like a casual c Île de France was well said Orlean was ok Patrice was nice Aquitaine you have to pronounced the "ne" sound at the end, the rest of the word was good Auvergne was nice, you pronounced rhone with a non-french r ps: napoleon died in 23 but I forgive you

What is really funny is that Patrice de McMahon was actually a French general, he fought the Crimean War and notably took Sebastopol. Later, despite beeing monarchist, he was elected President and notoriously failed to reenact a king in France. Charles Achille Bazaine was also an actual general, he was defeated by the Prussians in 1870. Funny to notice the amount of little details

Have you considered doing a Japan run and forming an ideal Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere? I think he has done a Japanese game fairly recently. The issue with Vic 3 is that once your behind it takes such a long time to get ahead. Not only that but large nations have little in the way of issues to deal with. So Ming more than likely will just modernize and then dominate Asia and the Pacific.

Not quite related to the video, but in the new patch I was playing Egypt -> Arabia, and I was fighting Nejd. Russia supported them, and in a stalemate where we shared no border, instead of just getting a white peace I managed to take war reps from. Anyone else found that the AI gives extra stuff in what would have been a white peace scenario in the old patch (the patch this video was made in).
