I just experienced my first real live show (end of year school show does it count) this very weekend. It was in a small festival where we had time to hang out with other bands, this was a great moment. I did not really experienced all the feelings you listed, but some of them: muscle memory failure, and great fatigue after giving so much energy in a short time. As you say, not enough to ruin the fabulous feeling of playing for others, even if there the crowd was sparse, even with the rain! I recorded a bunch of short clips during the event, I might compile them as a sort-of-vlog like you previously did on the channel. It was very fun to do as well. Thanks again for sharing your experience. No doubt it contributed to making mine a little more smooth! 🤘🏻😎👍🏻

Yeah I love the interactions surrounding a performance, with band mates and other bands’ members, plus maybe some audience members, although I’m not too social so that isn’t easy for me 😅 To be honest I should have spoken about these nice things to offset the challenges a bit 😅 How did engagement with the audience go for you? For me it’s not exactly natural 😅 I’m glad you enjoyed it, it really is magical isn’t it 😁

@@BedroomGuitarHero Hard... not so much beside claps at the end of songs. We encountered other more experienced bands who have songs that allows crowd engagement along some of their titles. It's really something we have to work on…

Claps are good! 😁 But yeah depending on music style the crowd will be animated to a different degree I find. With my band we are thinking about what we expect from the crowd given our musical style and style of engagement, it’s not gonna be as crazy as a thrash metal band for example. Also greatly depends on the other bands that are on that night, what the audience is likely to expect or want based on what they play. When we played this competition called metal to the masses, in the final, it was pretty much a thrash night, so our accordion folk metal didn’t get many moshpits to put it lightly 😅
