it's much more accessible than golf courses. some top D1 golf programs are giving scholarships to kids who have only golfed on simulators. i think this idea - either in this form or another form - will find success

you can be as weird as you want but the shot was 130. and if you see trents chip was perpendicular to the pin. So his shot went almost 130 total. Hope this helps.

The best thing to come out of this for golf would be the SHOT CLOCK!! It would definitely make golf more playable and more watchable if everything was kept moving along! With the advancements of carts with all of the electronics, there could be a shot clock incorporated!

Absolutely. Let the tour use carts with their caddies add in the shot clock. You could easily shave an hour or 2 off of a round.

I've been waiting to see how this actually works and how it would look from concept to realtime play. A cool rule change would be that if your team hits the ball when the shot clock has say 10 or less seconds left... it can carry over to the next shot... only up to 10 seconds imo.
