It's not quite right, the orb just doesn't take explosive damage, so explosive payload just halves your damage. It's the same as other interactable objects, like the obelisk in vow. Explosive weapons like grenade launchers will only deal impact damage to it

"Just wipe" after the encounter is completed had me laughing harder than "Witherhoard makes everything Taken" They misunderstood the plat at Nez. You were still able to get the Platinum for Nezarec with a 3 phase, provided you had defeated Riven in the same run / instance. If you ever noticed the multiplier next to your score... it goes up +1 for each encounter completed. But if you come in at a checkpoint, you'll notice that the multiplier has reset.

The sheer confidence on them shooting the wrong eyes and saying your callouts were wrong was hilarious. This is what happens in LFG when Bungie doesn’t patch cheeses and keeps raids (an “endgame” activity) at base 1600 light instead of a pinnacle 1810 activity. They should really start capping encounters at -10 power or have a gradual cap starting -5 and going to -20 at final boss. It’s wild that you can join any LFG pantheon and people will say they’ve never done the original raid encounters before.

I had a dude who was so very confident in crota's that he was shot calling because he could top out damage, comparing me on well/tractor to himself on pyrogale with lament. The "big jump" in score that they were talking about at the very end is only given if you do a full run, no checkpoints. Thats how my team completed it with platinum, we didnt hit time on nez and still got the title.

It’s seems to be more that you need to do atleast one or two previous encounters before Nez to guarantee plat. Started from rhulk after a break and still got plat from a 3 phase on Nez

Wither hoard makes things “blighted”. Which lets malf and wishender do more damage. People just assumed “blighted” was taken since that’s what the secondary perks increase damage on. But the blighted interaction is something else completely different and witherhoard never changed the enemy into taken.

Top players: I’ve run a ton of GoS raids, and one LFG I ran was just insane, these guys were doing stuff like breaking the Consecrated Mind Shields without running relays, one shooting the hydras in the vex relay encounter. I still couldn’t tell you how they were doing it.

Witherhoard works with Malfeasance and Wishender. So the "taken" damage buff is not Malfeasance exclusive but yeah, it does not work with taken spec.
