A quick suggestion - maybe spend a bit of time explaining the game more at the very start? I'm kind of confused about what's exactly going on, since I haven't seen this game before. It was also sometimes hard to make out what you were saying over everyone else when you were muted to them. Ideally, you'd pause their audio when speaking or something, but I realize that's a lot more editing work.

Honestly, this is not the video to learn codenames, I don’t think they gave a single legal clue in that game, the way the game works is you have two teams, red and blue, one team will go first and their goal is to guess their 9 words correctly and the other team will go second and need to guess their 8 words (the game has a spy theme so these cards are called red agents or blue agents), and there is one word which if selected will instantly lose the game (this card is called the assassin, though I usually refer to it as the bomb), and the rest of the words are neutral (theses are bystanders), one player from each team is the cluegiver and they get to see the board state meaning they know which team each word is for (the reason you saw everything in the first round was because the person recording was the cluegiver), it is the cluegiver’s job on their turn to give a single word clue to try and connect as many of their own words as they can while avoiding other cards (obviously you avoid the bomb the most because that’s an instant loss, the other teams agents the next most because that actively benefits the other team, and avoid bystanders if you can, because they can confuse your team and slow you down), the cluegiver will also give a number indicating how many words their clue is connecting and the players will then get that number of guesses plus one for their turn (the plus one allows a bit more freedom to try and guess words that you think previous clues might have been hinting towards), the players will discuss with their teammates, and then select a word as their guess, the word is then revealed, and if it isn’t their own color their turn will end early, and and if it is their own color they can continue guessing until they run out of guesses or pass, cluegivers can also give their number as zero or infinity, either of which will give the players as many guesses as they want, but infinity is generally more useful for a Hail Mary situation, where you need your team to get everything that turn and giving the actual number of connections you’ve made wouldn’t give enough guesses to allow that, and the zero is generally more useful when you want to lead your players away from a particular word, most often if they were seriously considering the bomb, it can also sometimes be helpful if your players are considering too many options and you have a good way to eliminate all of the ones you don’t want them hitting but that’s not as common

@@Ro9ge np, just to add one thing because I forgot to mention it (or rather, it didn’t fit as easily in a more basic description of the game, but it was nagging me that I didn’t mention it, so I’m going to do it now), there is a bit more to cluegiving and what sort of clues are allowed, cluegivers are supposed to keep a straight face and can’t talk to the players (applies slightly differently online and in person, but the principal with the same, they can’t give more information than the clues) though they can talk to each other as long as they do it quietly so the other players can’t hear, there are also a couple of rules about clues, first, the number is never part of the actual clue, so you can’t do something like give the number eight because you want to connect to the word octopus in with your clue, clues should also always relate to the meaning of a word and never the structure, so you can’t say something like rhyming to try and connect words that rhyme on the board (you also can’t use rhymes if the only association is the rhyme, though if a rhyme has become common enough that it’s just a phrase then it can be used, for example snail is a legal clue for the word mail, despite the fact that it rhymes, because that is a common phrase, but it would be an invalid clue for scale because the only connection between those words is the rhyme), or give any sort of clue about the letters in a word or the length (using letters or numbers as your clue is allowed, but only if it relates to the meaning of the words you’re connecting, like 8 for octopus), clues are also not allowed to include words on the board (and this includes stuff like using the word press if compress is one of the words, when in doubt, you can always talk with the other teams cluegiver to see if they’re ok with the clue), though this only applies to words which have not been guessed (so for the example where you would want to use the word press with the word compress on the table, it becomes a legal clue once that word has been guessed by the players, so if you wanted to connect the words force newspaper and button you could wait until the players have guessed compress to give that clue), proper names are allowed despite the fact that they can be counted as multiple words, and there are a couple of categories of things which can be considered multiple words which is left up to group discretion, abbreviations/acronyms, the names of places or the title of something like a book, hyphenated words, in all of these cases, you can’t make up something to fit in that category, the clues used must still follow the other cluegiving rules (for example, CIA isn’t a valid clue if the word intelligence is on the table, even if your group is allowing acronyms), and if the way that your cluing, something enables you to use multiple words it still must be one clue and not you splitting a clue into different parts which are functionally their own clues (for example, even if you allow Harry Potter to be given as a clue, the cluegiver can’t be using it as a way to connect shave to the word hairy and clay to the word potter)
