I enjoyed my playthrough with Ryan, as once you get access to some strong 2-handed weapons...He's a tank that rarely can be put in a position to die, I'm always recovering health from knocking down zombies!

I hope they continue the game. I'm not 100% sure if all rest of game is just same stuff over and over or if it gets more interesting at higher levels and all. Reviews all seem to keep saying game is dissapointing in comparison to games like dying light and all, I guess I can see why if it's mostly all combat but it just depends on if gearing system and skill point system and all makes it more interesting. I don't always care about story in action games, but gameplay has to be fun during the whole game.

it is heavily centered around combat but that is what all the dead island games have been about. It's your typical zombie slasher game and it's a whole lot of fun. Great to play with friends for a like 20+ hour long story and a bunch of extra content.

Am I the only one that feels like because Connor consistently kept trolling and only chose kicking throughout the entire game as his main melee move that The Devs are eventually going to integrate a mechanic that prevents you from being able to only kick throughout the entire game but instead zombies will start to grab your legs if you kick it too often so it will forcefully make you have to start switching up your combat choice of defense 😅

I think he's not into the game tbh. Over the yrs of watching his streams, I've noticed he tends to speedrun/brute force games he's not interested in fully. I feel like half the games he plays with Mouse are only because she asked him. If I know I'm not going to like playing a co-op game with my partner after watching her play it or watching some trailers, I straight up tell her my answer. I think Connor just does it anyway, even if it annoys Mouse over time.

Can't say much as a Jacob main that initiates every fight with a flying jump kick and frequently adds a lot of kicks to my attack combo, though the fact that I have the dlc skill card "personal space" which boosts the damage and force of kick attacks may be a contributing factor.

After all these years, you'd think Connor would actually try to learn the games he plays with Mouse, instead of acting like he knows what he's doing (when he clearly doesn't), and at the same time trying to absolutely speedrun the games. I think the only times I've seen him stop to take in the scenery is when he's playing open world survival games. In this game he's literally just running past everything, forgetting to fix weapons, craft good stuff, etc. I love connor's content, always have, but it gets a bit grating after years of LP's to still see him not learning the games/trying to speedrun everything (also the spam kicking in the game is him just abusing the already poor combat in this game, which ngl, makes his pov of gameplay a bit on the boring side).

This is true, but for Connor it has always been like this (for years). Connor's gig is that he believes he can master anything, so he ends up speedrunning, not taking the time to learn any mechanics, or just generally trying to rush himself. He ends up doing this for all sorts of games (especially with Mouse, and that ends up annoying her over time, despite it being funny to us and himself at times), and it just kinda becomes a bit of a slog sometimes. Him doing the repetitive kicking, not really taking Mouse's advice into account fully (she pointed out a Samurai sword for him and he straight up ignored it, and proceeded to break all his weapons/spam kick), ends up making the stream a bit of a mixed bag (at least for me, I like him & mouse playing together, but his speedrunning ends up annoying her/myself at times).
