Tips for if you ever play again: F is to block and by timing your block you can parry, which is the main way of defending yourself. Some moves (indicated by a sound and usually a red marker) are unparryable and must be rolled out of with Q. R is your critical, a strong alternative attack unique to whichever weapon you wield. If you're already engaged in combat with an enemy, running will probably only make things worse because you'll just be chipped at while trying to make your escape. Use your training items (dumbbell, hemafrost, training vest, etc.) to increase your stats. After talking to that Pirate Man in the Fragments of Self (the place you called heaven) you can play through a small tutorial if you choose to start out at Etrea again. Once you reach the Depths (the place you called the rabbit hole) the only way out for you at the moment is to make it to the tower in the middle of that big city and to head up the elevator. At low levels you can get back up with no hassle, but as you level up you have to face increasingly stronger enemies in order to leave. Hopefully this helps 👍

I had to learn the game by myself and it took me around half a year to learn all the talent cards, learn the stat requirements for each card, learn how to fight players, learn how to fight bosses, and generally just get good. Btw, in the top left there's some controls that you can customise to your liking. I'll write a rundown of the other things you might want to pay attention to. Small spoiler warning, I'll try not to spoil anything. Ether Ether is the energy you use to cast magic, set below the 4 small icons. It's measured in a % from 0-100 and cna be increased by increasing the stats Int, Charisma, or getting talents/gear with "+ ether " on them. Venting / Tempo Tempo is a small dark blue bar that fills up during combat when you are hit, parry, dodge, ect. At 30+%, you can vent. Vents push back all enarby enemies, being extremely hard to parry and can allow you to make distance from enemies Armour There are 2 types of armour A: Normal armour. This is the armour buff from your outfit. If it reaches 0%, the buffs from both the outfit and any gear are lost (excluding health) B: Natural armour. Obtainable via either talent card(s) or having versperian race. Rolling Rolling and parries are fundamentally similar, but some attacks cannot be parried. It's also useful for when you are fighting and the opponent feints (discussed below this) and can allow you to recover from missed parries. HOWEVER, do NOT roll when not needed. only roll when they are actually attacking, as it is common for people to "roll air" which means to try and dodge nothing, which can allow the enemy to get more hits on you. Feints Right clicking during an M1/normal attack before the parry indication spark goes away allows you to feint, stopping your attack. M1 + right click (M2) can allow you to feint mantras, while some just need a M2 to be canceled. Posture Posture is a yellow bar above your health. If it reaches 100%, you are blockbroken, unless it reaches 100 by you being parried. Taking increased damage and being stunned. This bar fills up if: A: you're hit by a mantra/attack that gives you posture no matter what unless evaded B: you are hit while blocking. Blocking Holding F allows you to block, being hit increases posture while blocking. Parries Parries are a form of blocking when, if someone is attacking you, a correctly timed block parries, restoring posture and filling the attackers posture bar. If you miss a parry or block, the parry goes on cooldown (very bad thing) *You need to get good at parries. They are o̶n̶e̶ o̶f̶ the most fundamental things in deepwoken.* Blood, Hunger and thirst. These are all basically the same things. Bottom left corner, three bars. Red is blood, Orange/yellow is hunger, Blue is thirst. Blood is recovered by sitting at a campfire, but drains hunger and thirst faster. Hunger and thrist are both recovered by eating food. An easy food you can make is Mushroom soup, requiring 2 different types of mushroom to make an you can have up to 10. Your vision blurs when you're low on one or multiple of these like that how it was when you were singing at like 6:30 Carry load As you ransack more random strangers, you will start to fill your inventory. You can exceed approximately 25% above your carry load but start getting slower and slower as you carry more, until you hit a hard limit. You can increase it by wearing a backpack, increasing strength or talents. Voidwalkers Sometimes, people will try to kill you. Some are bounty hunters called voidwalkers (albeit most are just assholes). Voidwalkers have set teleportation locations, and if you're near them, they can start hunting you. They are teleported to the location and if you go too far away from them, they will be sent away. They will attack you relentlessly, so either logging or running is usually the only options as a newer player. Combat tagging When combat tagged, if you leave the game with one, you *die*. If it's a red combat tag, you WILL die if you leave. If it's purple, you can leave if you're above 60% Hp ONLY by closing the entire roblox tab. Beware your character lingers in game after a crash. Red combat tags are caused from players. These combat tags prevent you from being healed when you knock down / kill something. To remove your combat tag from someone, say "Mb [Player character name]" or "Mb all" to remove it from everyone, which is faster. Purple combat tags are from mobs. Red combat tags are the same as Purples, without the ability to leave if above 60%. Combat tags can prevent you from doing a lot of things. Also, humanoid monsters can be left in water to drown. Depths You have 2 lives. You get one back from leveling up, and you can tell if you have 1 or 2 lives. If you have 1, your health bar is rusty, otherwise it is clean. If you die with one life, you go to the depths. There's a large ciry in the depths near the centre of the map. Head to the centre of that place, and hope you have some spare change, as the lift needs notes to operate. You will then face a trial after going up another elevator. IF you die in the depths, your run is gone forever unless you spend a large sum of one fuckin thousand robux (dont) to get it back. Beating the trial send you back to the surface. Also, watch out for the holes. Like seriously. You don't want to know where they take you. Also, small tips about sailing. Use Z and C to turn the sails to get the back of the sail in the direction of the wind, which is the direction little flag atop your boat points. Don't sail into whirlpools (shocker i know) Don't sail too far from the mainlands.

also im going to summarise a bit of the lore so you know the basic outline of the deepwoken story spoilers ahead The world of deepwoken takes place in a different timeline, where people harnessed a magic called "The song" (the mantras we see in game). However, it used to be more than just something for fighting. It was a tool used for everything. The Drowed Gods were angry with this, and sunk most of the world below the seas. This includes cities like Celtor, the large city you may have seen in the depths. People stopped overusing the song, and somewhere inbetween all that, there was a 'cult' called "The Ministry" who were trying to finish what the gods had sunk. BIG-ish SPOILER ABOUT ETREA Etrea is under the command of a prophet of the ministy (7th i think) called Ze'ieer who killed the king and hyponotysed the country. This is about the time the player is at.

Things to know about this game: anybody who you see its NOT a good player, maybe they will try to kill you so escape from them try to concentrate if you are fighting with a npc in the parrys (block before a enemy hits you) that gives you a bit of time to hit/slash them if you see monster try to escape, is a bit hard try to fight with a monster in this game being you new and the final thing, you have three lives before to start again, if you lose two lives your ''soul'' will go more deeper into the depths and you will need to escape to recover your two lives again and follow playing

You suffer the same fate as every new player 😭 also if you wanna know the controls it’s parry f and a way you can learn to parry is when somone swings at you there’s a spark at the end of the weapon if you press f right when you see it you can parry it. block = hold f, dodge = q ,roll cancel = q + right click before you finish rolling, vent = g you can use vent when your temp bar is full or pass the bar and to fill your tempo you gotta get hit by something also your tempo bar is below your ether bar which is the long skinny bar and the small bar is your tempo bar. feint = left click + right ,click up tilt = control + left click . mantra feint (mantras are your ability’s) = use mantra + left click + right click also you can heal at campfires and to make a campfire you need one wood and flint also the 3 bars at the bottom left side of your screen are your blood water and food bar you can regen your blood bar at a campfire and you need food and water to regen your food and water bar you can also use wells to drink water or fill up a canteen if you have one you can make one by using calabash beeswax and you can craft it buy going it a crafting table and putting it in the crafting area also if you press tab you can see your stats on the side and your investment points are how many more training points you need to use before you can level up and to train stats you need training gear for that specific stat you want to train and max level is 20 also every stat has a way of training it. If you need more tips let me know (also sorry if I yapped too much I’m just tryna help)

Next time you play select Isle of vigils as your starter area, there's a trainer (named Das) at the guild hall with whom you can practise combat with. Basic controls: m1 = attack R or middle click = critical attack Q = roll Holding F = Block Pressing F (at the right timing) = parrying/perfect block (THIS IS A FUNDAMENTAL MECHANIC) G = Vent (a way to escape combos) M = the map jumping + m1 = aerial attack ctrl + m1 = uppercut (this mechanic isn't too important for beginner players) while sprinting you can press ctrl to do a slide. Please do play again, I'd love if you made this a series 🙏

I’d recommend doing the tutorial which teaches you the fundamentals of block, parrying, and dodging. When you talked to Captain Orlando you did tell him you wanted to do the tutorial. The next time you spawn in, you should be in the tutorial already. I don’t know why it didn’t give you it in the first place.

funny how you got felinor btw if you ever decide on playing deepwoken again go with the minityrsa origin as you can practice killing mobs untill you get decent at pve it will make fighting early and some late game mobs easier as you can just keep picking the minityrsa origin to restart if you die

Being complety honest. The first idk 30 hours of deepwoken was one of the worst videogame experience i ever had, all hours ahead where uphill. Also i recomend play with someone else. Agility and strength are prety good stat, but over 25 is just a downhill.

The game is hard to every new players until you start practice EDIT: here is some helpful information Press "Q" to roll Press "F" to parry and you can hold it to block Press esc then settings and turn on shift lock then press shift in game (its very useful) Press "M" to use map About that blue place you can just go to the tower or the middle of the map to go back to the overworld I hope these information will help you out

deepwoken will be rough when first starting and the people around you will even abuse your lack of knowledge to trick you but there are a ton of things you need to learn for basic combat for example the f key you can hold it down to block or tap it to parry and you can also press g to vent which will make you push nearby people away from you but it requires tempo (i forgot how to gain tempo in combat but you get a lot of it when you start in combat)
