Do you have tips or technique on triplet on a single pedal? Is it 3 evenly stroke or 1 accent and then 2 double?
@DrumBeatsOnline9 жыл бұрын
Neo Inventor Theres no "correct" way of playing a triplet with a single pedal. It really just depends on what you want to do! You could do them all evenly, or use accents in different places. The choice is all yours!

Very true about the sketchy tempos on fills - I've worked with tons of drummers, very few are comfortable recording with a click track. I'm no drummer, but I suspect it's all about investing in practice time with a click

Im recording a song with my band the intro has a build up on the toms and a kinda bucket of fish fill going into the main chorus intro chorus verse chorus, verse, guitar solo/ bridge chorus outro. The whole song feels just a tad bit behind the click just enouph to drive me nuts and some of the snare hits that arent on the main back beats either the "and" or "ah" are always the most noticably out if time. Wish i could somehow give yall a link to hear it but its on a google classroom and a rouph mix so yah

How many BPM is 8 notes on metrodone?
@Chrishf37214 жыл бұрын
Great video! Really helpful advice! Thanks!
@rodstewart746 жыл бұрын
The part that im usually confused when playing to metronome, for ie. You say keep temp with your right hand to the "click" at 70 bpm (or whatever bpm). But 2:54 then you played the same temp around the drums with a fill at a faster beat but same temp... how am i suppose to know what speed temp to play at with bpm when doing fills? Also, Is it always finish with "right hand" w/ both steady beat and the fills? Does one always follow with the right hand (hi-hats) with metronome? then whatever perferable speed (same bpm) when doing fills finish with right hand?
@dusanbackuljin65306 жыл бұрын
Metronom is playing at 4/4 but your fills are myb on 8th notes or 16th notes depends how you play fill or what fill and when you are playing 8th notes on metronome you will play four notes on two metronome clicks and other four notes on other two clicks so your metronom will "play" 4/4 but you play 8th notes and on 16th notes you will play 8 notes on 2 metronome clicks and other 8th notes on 2 metronome cliks. Also you can make your metronome for 8th notes or 16th notes and many more it depends which metronome you are using... Don't take my words for granted im beginner too but this is what my teacher said to me! Cheers mate!

Rod Stewart .
@dusanbackuljin65306 жыл бұрын
Rod Stewart As he said in video for 16th notes you will hit four notes on your drum but your metronom needs to click just once and you repeat that four time and there you go you play 16th notes with metronome ... And for 8th notes you will hit drums twice but your metronom need to click once and repeat that four times too... But also you need to sync you hits with metronome so you can be on time I hope I kinda help you P.s. sorry for bad English

This is why I quit drumming..I even played live many times and I can seem to do many rhythms.. but I can't hit even only the hi-hat at the same time with the click. it almost always makes this flam sound. When I play normal rhythms the hi-hat and the snare does a flam sound too, like I do not hit them at the same time. So all the beats I play are all off because the foundation is off. Do you have any advice how to do this because I really like drumming, or am I untalented?
@DrumBeatsOnline8 жыл бұрын
+thenomad014 There is no such thing as being untalented! I know that this can be SUPER tricky to nail down. My biggest advice is don't give up! These things can take a lot of time to nail down. A lot of times it will take much longer than you want it to. But keep pushing forward and eventually you will get it. Just take it very slow and start at a tempo of about 70bpm. You can do this!
@JosecCuervo8 жыл бұрын
+thenomad014 that's though.. don't give up. I know what I am going to say next might be a no no for the maker of the video, but if you don't like a metronome, or can;t get used to it.. practice to music.. learn your favorite song really well, and then put a pair of head phones and play them songs over and over.. keep doing this with any song you may like. This will help your tempo because the music will act as a metronome. I have been playing for 20+ years and never really used a metronome.. but I have been playing in clubs with many bands professionally and on small tours.... my tempo is pretty much perfect. Just keep practicing and don't give up.

I played 10 years without really using a metronome, I can do blast beats all that good stuff, but the last couple weeks I really have been playing alot with it. the truth is you will maybe reach 75 percent of your potential on a good day if you don't practice with one. I'm getting better 10x faster now that I have really pushed using a metronome.

Man I can't tell if I'm playing behind the beat or there's latency in my DAW. I'm going crazy lol
@From_A_Diverging_Timeline3 жыл бұрын
Didn't really think about this. I have no problem playing with a metronome, but the last couple days I've went to record my drums and I'm consistently just a tiny bit behind the beat after I record. Maybe I'll try getting the latency lower and see if it changes.
