the cyan progress bar at top left determines what troops you can send out so an elite ranger would need the progress bar to fill the 3rd square, love your vods

I appreciate getting to watch you play this. I played the original FF7 when it first came out, and it had a really profound impact on me. I don’t really want to mess with these remakes, I just want to leave the original on a pedestal in my memory… but I am curious and watching you play is almost certainly the best way for me to check them out “safely” 😂

What’s your build for him? Before I beat the game I had two teams. Cloud, Barrett and Tifa for damage, and Cloud, Barrett and Aerith. Toward the end game I made Barrett a healer, though. Because he can stagger from range and heal. Aerith is slow. Red was my favorite in the original but it’s hard using him. I can’t mesh with the dude. Whatever triangle does confuses me still. He has great stats. But he takes a shit ton of damage. I think he’s supposed to be more of a defensive character. And I do not do defense in final fantasy unless I have to. I don’t cast protect. I don’t do any of the shit. It’s a waste of time. Let’s not even talk about Cait Sith. I never liked playing him in the original and I don’t like using him now.
