Football, not soccer. You're kicking a ball with your foot, therefor it is football. Americans play with an egg shaped ball and throw it with their hands, therefor that is called hand egg.

+darren Kelly Well before you go laying your opinion on the internet maybe you should educate your self. Yes football is called football because you kick the ball with your foot, makes perfect sense (even though it used to be called rugby). But american football is called football for an equally logical reason, not because americans are dumb, but because the ball itself is a foot long. So the ball is a 'football' and you play the sport with that same 'football'. The more you know.
